Say what you will about Danielle Steel it's true her books are not high brow works of literature but they are none-the-less entertaining.

The TV adaptations of her books are exactly the same not fantastic oscar worthy movies but the perfect way to while away an afternoon.

The Ring is one of my favourites as I love the history surounding the lead character. Ms. Steel certainly goes to alot of effort to research her books and it shows.
We follow Ariana a wealthy German aristocrat's daughter through her life of privilage in Germany during the second world war. Which begins to unravel when her Brother is drafted into the army and so they plan to leave germany together to save him. Ariana becomes separated from her ... Read More:

The story..A maniac is on the prowl killing brides to be due to himself being ditched on the day of his wedding. He sets his sights on a young woman and constantly stalks her before attempting to murder her. Meanwhile a detective with a personal connection tries desperately to find the madman.
"He knows you're alone" is definitely a superior slasher and is well directed by Armand Mastroianni. There is some very effective suspense and scares and there is quite a creepy feel to it throughout. The cast includes a few familiar faces (not just Tom Hanks) so the acting isn't too bad for the type of film. As good a slasher as this is it's still no "Halloween" and you can't help wishing that the deaths contained more blood. If this had been as gory ... Read More:

DVD : The Dead Zone: The Complete Second Season (REGION 1) (NTSC)
After I'd finished watching the entire first season DVD set and started reading people's opinions here of this 2nd-season set, I paid no attention to the negative reviews because I loved the first season so much, but for me the second season is definitely a mixed bag, more so than the first at least. The majority of the episodes are good and there are even a few really outstanding episodes (i.e. Precipitate/The Man Who Never Was/Deja Voodoo/The Hunt), but there are also some very average, if not really uninspired episodes too.

The first 3 episodes in particular do no justice to the over-all quality of the season- it's not that they don't follow on from the season 1 cliffhanger (armageddon), as that is satisfactorily drawn-out across the ... Read More:
