DVD : Fat Friends - Series 1, 2 And 3
i hadn't seen Fat Friends when it came out on tv, but do remember friends raving about it, i finally watched a DVD and wow, i was totally hooked after the first episode, it really got to the nitty gritty, as we slowly got to know all the personalities, with one thing in common, a weight problem, i don't know what i was expecting, but this wasn't it, it was far better than i could have imagined, and now have the complete box set of all three series, it had me both laughing and almost crying in parts, but the better part was how they all supported each other come what may, a beautiful storyline. well worth every penny.

This scouse soap was BRILLIANT and it should be brought back to TV as soon as possible.
It was hard-hitting and realistic. My favourite character was Barry AND I loved this programme so much that I would even watch the Omnibus version on a Saturday.

Nigel Havers' fans will be more than happy with this, but watch it as well for its totally un-PC dialogue, and some very touching moments. Not a 'romp', not slick, not hilarious (that horrible word) - just a lot of fun, with a very deft touch and good acting.
