Skins was pretty much the first teen sitcom that was targeted at 14-20 year olds but with the censor of 18 (others are Hollyoaks & Home & Away). Skins is about six friends living in northern England (despite the varied accents of the young cast). It could be argued that Tony is the star of the show, he's the typically cocky, good looking guy who is able to get out of any bad situation he faces. The sitcom (of a mere 8 episodes) follows the six teens, the first few episodes are insights into the most prominent characters. I think the main thing that separates us Brits form our American cousins is how we like our sitcoms, in contrast with One Tree Hill or The OC Skins is gritty & the actors are all under the age ...
