This film is truly amazing. It may only appeal to people with a certain sense of humour, but I must be one of those people as I almost split my sides laughing. I was still randomly saying quotes from Zoolander about a month after I'd seen it!
As usual, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson make a brilliant partnership; they have a similar sense of humour so you can see that they are really enjoying making the film.
This may not be the classic, thoughtful and deep film that some people want to see but in my eyes it is the best film I have ever seen, and would be perfect for a fun night in or sleepover.

I remember this film on TV years ago - I was far too young and didn't get it at all. However after reading some reviews recently I decided to by a copy - particularly after seeing Ethan in Before Sunrise and being a puzzled graduate myself I thought it was worth a watch.
Reality Bites did not disappoint - it is witty, quirky and perfect for twenty somethings or anyone going through a bit of a life crisis! The characters are really well developed and Ethan is brilliant at playing the brooding Troy. The chemistry between the central characters is smouldering and despite my expectations there was no hint of cheese or "chick flick" corny slushiness! Which was a relief as certain films promise brilliance but let you down at some point, usually ... Read More:

This film is another example of the so called critics and professional film reviewers getting it so wrong by completely discrediting the merits of a truely impressive film. True, the film is darker, the humour is more subdued and harder to spot but that is what helps make this movie a great film. So it flopped at the cinema ... who cares!! So it got rubbished by the critics ... well if Ive learned anything; I leaned not to listen to critics. Always judge a movie yourself, dont listen to some pretentious critic who doesnt know his arse from his elbow.

In my opinion this is Carrey's best movie to date.

First up, this has some incredibly funny scenes in it. There are parts when I was laughing fit to burst.

The only trouble is, these bits were spread out in between some very lame or average parts which lasted far longer. On the whole the film outstays its welcome, but it's worth seeing for the few bits that really are extremely good.

A shame it wasn't consistently good, then it would have been worth five stars.
