I've been watching Dumb and Dumber since the 90's and cease to get tired of it's 'dumb' humour, and the wonderful gel that-is Lloyd and Harry; two city bums in desperate need of a break.

They story has already been covered many times by other reviewers so I'll skimp here and explain the 3 stars.. this DVD edition has some odd cuts. I originally owned the VHS release which had the theatrical version of this film, but this DVD is different in many scenes. Parts have been cut out, some added, some scenes made longer, and what is absolutely noticeable throughout the whole of the film is that surely 75% of the scenes are either acted or spoken differently, suggesting this may be a Directors Cut, if the editor has used different takes ... This is a very funny film with a number of excellent set pieces, such as the scenes with the dog and the police interrogation scene. It is not a film for the prudish, but the gross moments are very few, though well known.

It also features the beautiful Cameron Diaz and that is another majopr attraction of this film.

But there is also sympathy for the main character, her would be lover, a decent chap, and his difficulties before reaching his goal.

Matt Dillon as the sleazy PI is also on fine form.

I recall seeing the original of this starring Charles Grodin. With a great script by the brilliant Neil Simon, it was witty, intelligent and infinitely more subtle than this Farrelly Brothers update. I say `update' and not `remake' because apart from the initial premise it bears no resemblance to the Grodin movie and features the usual gross-out comedy that is the Farrelly Brothers trademark.

Ben Stiller plays, as always, Ben Stiller... a likeable guy who finds circumstances going out of his control. Just as well he's good at what he does... Another plus point is the performance of Ben's real-life father Jerry, who plays his dad. More famous for his over the top performances in 'Seinfeld' as George Costanza's (Jason Alexander) pop Frank, he's ... Read More:

It's filthy, and it has a lot of laughs at the expense of political correctness.

As a Brit, I'm just sorry that a film like that probably couldn't be made here.

OK, there were a few annoying things about the film, but really barely worth mentioning.

Some of the gags, sight and spoken, were just brilliant.

I absolutely adore this film. It's funny and well-written script. Actors did great jobs, especially Gwyneth Paltrow.
Deleted scenes are good too. It's so shame that they had to be deleted whatever the reasons are.
Jack Black (Hal) was of course funny but Mauricio was even funnier!
I've already watched this film more than 5 times. It still makes me laugh every time I watch it.
Personally, I think this is one of the greatest comedy films ever made and it is definitely worth adding to your DVD collection.

dont waste your time. the first film is incredible, the second (prequel) film the directors never even told jim and jeff that they were making it. nuff said... just buy the first one and watch the prequel on sky, or channel 5. the only funny bit in the prequel is when harry wipes brown all over the bathroom, even that is a rehash of the first films' funny moments.

Fever Pitch is a wonderful book by Nick Hornby and I was dubious about a US adaptation of the story. However, this film works very well as an easy evenings viewing. The performance of the two leads is charming and it's a simple, feel good film. Pleasantly surprised.

Frank (Bill Murray) is a widow without hygienic and bad alimentary habits. He eats food that felt on the floor without cleaning, he does not wash his hands before eating and he eats only junk food. His daughter keeps unsuccessfully trying to correct his behavior. One day, Frank eats a dirty egg and gets a disease. From this moment on, the human body functions are showed through very funny and educational cartoons. The hero, Osmosis Jones, is a white globule, with Chris Rock's voice. The great Farrely brothers again surprise me. This funny (and sometimes scatological movie) is a great class of hygienic and human body functions. Chris Rock and Laurence Fishburne give a great performance with their voices. Bill Murry has the role of a disgusting character. An excellent ... Read More:

I normally hate so-called "funny" movies. I just don't find them funny at all. Stuck on you, though, had me in tears of laughter from the first scene and I had a sore stomach from laughing at the end. Having Greg Kinnear in one of the leading roles and I am sold. I loved his character in As Good As It Gets - he is the funniest guy and whenever I see his face i crack up! Matt Damon is not quite as funny but with his amazing acting he is great in this role. I doubt that this film would have been as funny with any other actors in these roles. There was fantastic chemistry between the two.
This film was a perfect mix of childish funny and clever funny - I was blown away by the clever choreography when the two twins fight, dance etc. Also subtle and funny use of computer ... Read More:
