Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Laugh, Cry and Cringe
A masterpiece of TV. The acting is incredible from the lead right through to the smallest extra. In the best tradition of good TV we laughed out loud, cringed with shame and cried with sadness. What is most interesting about this fantastic show is that the obvious characters (Ja'mie and Mr G), although brilliant, will not affect you in the same way as Jonah - a brilliant study in not fitting in. A comedy that made me think...excellent.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Addictive comedy find
Eight 30 minute episodes, expertly structured so that, once you have started watching you just have to go on.

The stories of the three characters, played with astonishing authority by Mr. Lilley, interweave throughout each episode, each more compelling than the last. What amazed me was how different each character was and yet how totally believable: when watching him as Jonah, it is hard to believe that it is the same actor who also inhabits Ja'mie and Mr. G.

As well as being extremely, sometimes shockingly funny, with plenty of quotable lines, the series has more heart than most comedy these days. The relationship between the disruptive Jonah and his remedial reading teacher is deeply touching, beautifully played. ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Instant classic mockumentary
I'm gonna go ahead like everyone else and liken this to The Office, the American version I'll hasten to add, for it's depiction of total, over the top megalomania and personal insecurity. Lilley also shares touches of Steve Coogan's ability to take common, well-observed human character and transform it into something both larger than life and instantly recognisable.

These people are like the ones you used to see in school, the ones that thought they had it made, despite the fact that everyone was laughing when their backs were turned. If you can't find something to relate to in Summer Heights High, then you must have been one of those unfortunate deluded souls.

This is one of the funniest TV shows I've ever seen to have ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cringing Genius
I first came across this programme/series on a flight home from Singapore. I was on a long haul flight and was flicking through the channels trying to pass the time. I came across SHH by pure chance and it was a major blessing. Watching the various characters unfold by someone who was previously unknown to me was a revelation. SSH has humour and pathos combined into achingly, funny situations. I found myself laughing out loud and looking around the plane embarrassed at my outbursts. (Not a problem everyone was wearing headsets!)
There are three major characters all played by the amazing Chris Lilley but for me the best is Mr G the camp drama teacher. SSH approaches major issues such as class, racialism and disability in such an open way.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brilliant
Wow, this show is great. I was sat at work one day and a mate and me were perusing the TV listings to see if there was anything on TV that night. He saw this listed and mentioned that he'd seen a few minutes of it the other night when he was drunk, thinking it was brilliant. This coincided with BBC4 playing the whole series back to back that weekend, so I thought I'd watch one. That turned into two. Then three and four until at 3am Sunday morning I finally came to the end of episode 8. During this time I laughed and at the end I was even tempted to cry! This is basically a similar premise to The Office (mockumentary) but is Australian and set in a high school. The difference is that Chris Lilley plays three different main characters. He plays them all ... Read More:
