Great special effects, but not a very good story, looks like it was trying to prop up the poor storyline with the special effets and the actors.
In all a disappointing movie.

If you're a Hugh Grant fan (which I am) then this is an enjoyable enough film but it doesn't rank with the likes of "Four Weddings and a Funeral" or "Notting Hill". If you're not a Grant fan then you'll probably loathe it. It's difficult to have any sympathy with Grant's character and the rest of the cast (with the possible exception of Rachel Weisz) aren't that engaging. I'm not sure if that's down to the casting, acting or writing but somewhere the chemistry went missing (or failed to arrive). My recommendation: watch it when it comes round on TV rather than spend your hard earned cash on the DVD.

Chris Rock is alot like vinegar. Like vinegar, Chris is something you have to get used to and a great majority of people either love him or hate him. Also like vinegar, Mr Rock is someone you enjoy in "small amounts", otherwise it gets a bit much. Veiw this video in the same vein. 'Down to earth' is perfect for something to watch with dinner on your lap, or pizza on the way and your mates lounging around. For times when you just want to 'switch off', this movie is what you need. If you like a nice fatty, greasy piece of fish with hot soggy 'chippy' chips...and loads of vinegar, then you'll love this movie, too. I did:) get your mates round and pop this in your DVD, it's just right.
