The first two Alien films are amazingly good, & the rest are well worth watching but less excellent. This is a great collection & good value for money.

Seven is a great film but in my humble opinion, I find it to be overated. Yes, the murder scenes are amazing and the acting from Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey is brilliant, the film takes too long to get going and as there are 7 murders and the film is over 2 hours long, this means alot of the film is wasted with unessecery scenes. Seven would have gotten 5 stars if they had cut the running time by 20 minutes.

The long-delayed Director's Cut of David Fincher's "Zodiac" is finally with us and there is good news and bad news; the bad news is that the new scenes barely amount to five extra minutes in a 2 1/2 hour movie and some of the additional scenes are so brief you'll hardly notice them. Now to the good news; don't be put off by the very short new scenes that have been added, the documentaries and commentaries in this 2-disc set more than make up for it. On the DVD cover, the blurb says that the documentaries are "exhaustive" and, for once, the finished product lives up to the hype.

There is a feature-length documentary about the crimes themselves featuring fascinating, detailed interviews with the surviving victims of the Zodiac killer and the real detectives ... Read More:

DVD : Zodiac [2007]
Bit of a strange one this - it's quite an old fashioned tale, it not only feels as is it's set in the 70's, it feels as if it was made then as well.

It's a real throwback to the likes of 'All The Presidents Men', 'Klute', 'The Parallax View' and all those other paranoid thrillers.

The film is a definite slow burner and isnt afraid to take it's time in building towards it's (slightly open ended) climax. If you're after an action packed thriller (like Finchers 'Seven' for instance) then this probably isnt for you.

This is a well acted, thoughtful ensemble piece with moments or genuine tension, which I think will come to be regarded as something of a classic in years to come.

Yes, it's long. Yes, you're required to use your brain and ... Read More:

Jodie Foster (Silence of the lambs) stars in David Fincher's claustrophobic thriller as Meg, a mother who, along with her daughter Sarah, get trapped inside a panic room whilst robbers invade their house.

I'm a big fan of the claustrophobic thriller genre, having scene great films like Air force one and Die Hard, which are both set in just the one main place are excellent viewing and very gripping. This 2002 picture is fairly exciting, but doesn't match the excitement of those other thrillers.

Taking a while to get going, Panic room centres around, well a panic room in Meg's new house. The setting is very cold, with horrible grey walls and little supplies to get a feel of claustrophobia. Though the setting is there, by the end of the film I felt it could have ... Read More:

Brilliant. A very clever film that hooks you in from the very beginning and keeps you there until the very end. Can't fault it.

A simply fantastic film and the HD transfer is demo worthy the directors cut adds to the film without making it drag. You simply can't get much more classy than this film and disc, the extras are fantastic too but the one stand out extra has to be the "this is the zodiac speaking" documentry this runs at about 90 mins and features interviews with all the surviving people from the real zodiac case and some great crime scene photos and archive footage. A film you'll never forget, within minutes of watching it you'll be on the internet trying to solve the case yourself and straight back to amazon to buy the books. I can not recommend it enough a real 5 star effort
