I can always remember watching this series on tv first time round and being totaly gripped every week. It was the highlight of the week. Now that all 3 series are in one box set i can't wait for mine to arrive tomorrow I can't remember much about the third series 'gold' but the first 2 are great. The second being crazy compaired with the 1st. Great acting from all 5 main women in this and the stepping stone for samantha morton to greater things.(well not greater maybe bigger)

Being a builder can hold a big future for you. You can go abroad and do jobs in different countries. Just like the characters did in the program. First they went to Arizona then Cuba. This Lancashire Drama always wins my heart! It just gets better. It is just what we need, to settle down with a cup of tea to watch this light hearted drama, wouldn't miss it! Though Born and Bred would not be so good without its fabulous cast. Superb performances by the wonderful and gorgeous Michael French and of course James Bolam. Also lovely moments by jenna Russell and the Guilder children, and this drama would not be complete without the loveable vicar played by Clive Swift and the great acting talents by Maggie Steed. We need more Born and Bred!
