The Final Destination trilogy are fantastic films that make you think that today may be your last day before death pays you a visit. The films are gorey, clever, have good acting from all involved and even though you have a rough idea of who will live, the film throws you off guard with several suprises. 3 great films that are fantastic value for money.

This is a great laugh, with some good action & quite a lot of gore. It's an enjoyably daft blockbuster with some scenes that go back to disaster movie cliches, but in an enjoyable way. Recommended.

This completes a pair wihich relys of animals to pull you in you may like dogs and not cats or the other way around but this has both more for dogs people but there is a cat with the best lines ever Sassy (The Cat). Is always ready with a put down for Chance (The Bulldog) but will follow Shadow's orders Shadow is a Golden Labrador which doesn't match his name but which Disney magic it works.

Be ready for romance even though it's not snogging all the time.

Action thriller about a young man (played by Chris Evans) who answers a call on his mobile phone from a woman (played by Kim Basinger) who claims to have been kidnapped and needs his help and the lengths he goes to help her and stop the people who have kidnapped her and her family. A good action film featuring one of my favourite young actors Chris Evans in the lead as well as Brit-flick favourite Jason Statham as a menacing lead villain. A good way to spend 90 minutes or so with never a dull moment. Oh and one more thing: mobile phones feature heavily in this film (as you may have guessed from the film's title).

Having never seen the first movie, I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to follow the plot of this one. Thankfully, I had no such trouble. Thoroughly enjoyable, it kept me quite literally on the edge of my seat (luckily I didn't fall off the sofa).
Unfortunately the DVD belongs to my boyfriend, but you can rest assured that the whole Final Destination franchise will be appearing on my wishlist sometime soon.

DVD : Final Destination 1 And 2 [2000]
This is rated under 'Horror, Thiller' etc but I think it should also have comedy! Basically, in each film a kid has a premonition of how their gonna die (in a freak accident - plane crash in 1st, motoway pile up in 2nd) and manages to prevent theirs and several other peoples death. However, each of the survivors continue to die in weird ways in the order they were meant to die in the original accident. This is because they were 'meant' to die in the original and are now on 'deaths list', if you like. The kid who had the promonition must find a way to save the remaining survivors and 'cheat death'. I especially like the dentist boy's death and the lift scene (eww) in the 2nd film!

I watched this last night and thought it was a scary movie but was let down by a slow begining. It starts with two young children seeing their father shooting himself after hearing voices, then one of the kids grows up and goes to university after the sudden death of her brother. As she mixes with the other students, they find out that their dorm is a old asylum with a mad doctor touturing the young teens but they soon get their revenge. But now, he has returned for more suffering and out for the kill. Yes, it's pretty gory and scary with the doctor's black eyes and horrid nails with him but it's a another movie with no-one you know in it and very staged acting. It's okay, not great and not terrible but don't expect any standout moments.
