I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Part 1 of this series. The story is well written with plenty of questions being thrown up. It is very much a mystery and my curiosity led me to carry on watching this way past my bedtime.

I too have found their decision to split the series into two parts for European release a disappointment. Series 1 is now available as a single box set but the pricing is extortionate compared to what USA viewers pay.

I'll be watching Part 2 next and hope it maintains the high standard set by Part 1. I'm certainly eager to find out what happens next.

the first season laid the foundations for the seasons to come and this season of Buffy is certainly one of the best, with a bigger budget, and more episodes...also it goes a lot darker and progresses from the monster of the week episodes with a general main plot...contains some of the greatest episodes ever!!!
When She Was Bad-5/5-already kicking the show back into gear and its a very good opener to this season.

Some Assembly Required-2/5-unfortunately it isn't a very good episode but worth a couple views.

School Hard-5/5-yay!!!Spike is introduced with the mentally unstable Drusilla as they attack the high school and set the foundations for the rest of the season.

Inca Mummy Girl-3/5-a decent entry with some ... Read More:

Heroes is a show you either hate or love!

It took me several months and a few viewings of episodes to actually get and enjoy! I actually thought it quite a big rip off compared to X-Men and just thought it was another Mutant X (sorry i thought it was crap)!

Its an amazing journey and its nice to see less stand alone episodes of the older style television series of least recent times!

By the end of season 1 you SHOULD have enjoyed the development of the story, charectors and their powers! Like so many superheroes and their powers, they develop and theirs are no exception!

If I was to compare this show to any other or movie, I would say that it takes Unbreakable, multiplies the (im learning im special) superheroes ... Read More:

I was a latecomer to Buffy but having seen most of the episodes, Season 3 shines as the best. Why? They're all still in high school, Cordelia's still in it with her comic relief, there's still an element of escapism for me as an adult. It's still really funny - after this season, it goes a bit more serious; a bit darker and to places I didn't think it should go. This for me is the peak. There are seminal episodes such as The Wish - where Cordelia wishes them into an Alternate Universe where things are BAD. Doppelgangland is funny with an evil Willow doppelganger from the alternate universe of The Wish. Gingerbread is great with lots of comedy from the core Scoobies. My other favourites are Band Candy ( Ethan Rayne, cursed chocolate reducing adults ... Read More:

There's been some great American T.V shows in the past few years: Lost, Alias, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica...but sadly Heroes doesn't compare to any of them. It's really, really awful...let me state for the record that I'm a big fan of Sci-fi, Manga, Graphic Novels and the like and it was because I had been hearing good things about the show that I decided to buy the complete series. To say that Heroes is a real letdown would be an under-statement. The show plays more like a soap opera than a sci-fi/fantasy show...I've read reviews about how the charactors are "Real" and that this makes the show more watchable...well no...it doesn't...it makes it un-watchable....I really don't care about the charactors personal lives...I'm more interested in there powers, but because the ... For those that fancy a cocktail of horror and thriller genres, with a familiar religious theme in the mix this is a good little show- nothing monumental, wont blow your socks off...has been done before, but the show is well acted, any effects used are good ...kinda the 'easy watching'of horror where REM are the easy listening of rock,...enjoy

DVD : Beverly Hills 90210: The Fifth Season (REGION 1) (NTSC)
This season sees the arrival of wonderfully entertaining Valerie, the scheming, money-grabbing, man-hungry vixen from Buffalo, who moves into Brenda's old bedroom and the empty space in Dylan's bed. Fans will also remember the opening of The Peach Pit After Dark, which showcases the guitar-playing talents of Ray Pruitt, the controlling trailer-trash boy Donna falls for. Watch out for the gorgeous Casper van Dien as Griffin, the rich frat-boy Donna inexplicably dumps for Ray!

Some lowlights of this series are the tedious marital difficulties of Jesse and Andrea, she having been reduced from the Yale-bound star pupil of high school to the shotgun-wedding teen mother. Another bore is the past-life-regression obsession of Dylan's, which sees long flashbacks of his life as ... Read More:

DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Season 2 [1998]
Let's say you bought the first series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and good for you). You enjoyed it certainly, but thought it was perhaps a bit too short; or that Giles wasn't used enough; or that Buffy seemed just a little too invulnerable; or Xander was a little too wooden; or that Willow was little too pathetic...

Stop right there. Series 2 of Buffy improves on the 1st (admittedly still brilliant) season in just about every conceivable respect. For starters, from here onwards every season lasts 22 episodes (instead of 12), so you get nearly twice as much slayage for your hard-earned dosh. The fact that there are twice as many scripts mean new writers, shedloads of new ideas, and truckloads of outstanding monsters (Der Kindestod, Ethan Rayne and the awesome Angelus, ... Read More:

Its wonderful to watch the original series where Buffy, Xander, Giles and Willow are introduced. The episodes on the DVD are stunningly sharp although there aren't that many special features.

My favourite episode is The Puppet Show. Sid is a great character and I can understand why they used him in the game. I also like the season finale.

Definitely worth buying!
