Ok, another spin-off series. expected it to be just ok. In fact i found it one of the best spin-offs I have ever watched. great new characters as well as Addison who we all hated at first but grew to love. Good and different new story lines. And best of all, a new love interest for Addison. Cant wait for season 2

the first season laid the foundations for the seasons to come and this season of Buffy is certainly one of the best,with a bigger budget,and more episodes...also it goes a lot darker and progresses from the monster of the week episodes with a general main plot...contains some of the greatest episodes ever!!! When She Was Bad-5/5-already kicking the show back into gear and its a very good opener to this season. Some Assembly Required-2/5-unfortunately it isn't a very good episode but worth a couple views. I was a latecomer to Buffy but having seen most of the episodes, Season 3 shines as the best. Why? They're all still in high school, Cordelia's still in it with her comic relief, there's still an element of escapism for me as an adult. It's still really funny - after this season, it goes a bit more serious; a bit darker and to places I didn't think it should go. This for me is the peak. There are seminal episodes such as The Wish - where Cordelia wishes them into an Alternate Universe where things are BAD. Doppelgangland is funny with an evil Willow doppelganger from the alternate universe of The Wish. Gingerbread is great with lots of comedy from the core Scoobies. This was the first series that I really got me interested in Buffy. After living abroad for a few years, I came back to the UK to find season 5 running on the BBC. I watched a few of the episodes and got so into it that I decided to buy the box set to see how it ended, and to see how it began. I loved it so much that I also bought all the preceding box sets and watched them constantly. No doubt you are looking over this scrumptious BUFFY package and exclaiming "No letterboxing? Whutzat? GYPPED!" Possibly you are breaking things. Please calm down. The fabulous episodes of BUFFY (and that one crappy one, sorry about that, seemed really cool when we wrote it...) were not shot in a widescreen format. They were shot in the TV 4 by 3 ratio. Now I'm a letterbox fanatic, but not just because I crave th' wide. I want to see the whole screen, as framed by the director. The BUFFY's I (and others) shot were framed for traditional TVs. Adding space to the sides simply for the sake of trying to look more cinematic would betray the very exact mise-en-scene I was trying to create.
