Father Ted is one of these things you can watch over and over again, and laugh each time. Whether your waiting at the airport, or just at home with a cup of coffee, it never fails to make you smile.

Along with all 25 episodes, there are commentries from Graham Linehan (writer), Arthur Mathews (other writer) and Ardal O'Hanlon (Dougal). As well as that there is "Ted and Dougal Do Comic Relief", "Ted Fest 2007: A Very Ted Weekend and Two Tribes Go to War" "Interview with the Writers (Part 1 & 2)", "Dougal's Soundtrack" and "Comedy Connections" to name but a few.

As for the actual comedy, you can't get much better. The swearing isn't vulgar and the gags are never cheap. Professional actors aren't missed, as Dermot ... Read More:

I'd never seen this when it was on tv, but it was given as a present to me. Didn't look like my kind of thing but then I finally got round to watching it and it really tickled me. It's not just the scripts or ridiculous situations, it's the small mannerisms and quick looks which give the characters such depth. I've watched it a few times over this year and have all the other series as well. If you haven't seen it, or find the prospect of a group of priests in the back of beyond to seem dull, please give it a chance. It's worth it!!!

DVD : Cold Feet - The Complete Collection of ColdFeet
Cold Feet is one of the best british made shows ever-bar none.
I watched series 1-4 when it was first shown on ITV and I bought this complete collection mainly to see series 5 as I never got to watch it[was working away]and what a trip down memory lane it was.
I had forgotten how funny and heart-breakingly sad it can be.The cast is truly superb.Special mention must go to John Thomson as Pete. That bloke cracks me up and have loved him since his Paul Calf 'Fat Bob' days.
This collection saw me through my maternity leave, where i laughted like a drain and cried buckets many an evening.[no it wasn't me hormones]
Do yourselves a favour this winter, buy this collection, get a box of chocs and and wrap yourself up in a nice duvet and ... Read More:

I loved the first two series of Little Britain - and the Little Britain Abroad special was good too, but I hate to say it really is getting rather tedious now - this is just the same old characters churning out the same old catchphrases. Even the couple of new characters they've included seem to grate on you after a couple of sketches. If they want to keep this going any longer they really need to give the whole thing a fresh look. Catchphrases are ok for so long, but you if you try to build a career on it, sooner or later you're going to come unstuck.

OK, I may be on my own on this one, but I just don't get it. How Tom Baker was ever coerced into appearing in this annoying dross is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, I love comedy - I'm a big fan of Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey amongst others. But there is something wrong with this sketch show. After all the hype surrounding Little Btitain, my girlfriend bought me a copy of this series one DVD, but it just isn't to my taste. Favourable comparisons with great British sketch shows such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Two Ronnies and even more recent output such as Big Train and Mitchell & Webb's recent ventures are hugely unjust - this is a show that relies mainly on tacky innuendo and cheap catchphrases. It reminds me a lot of "When the Whistle Blows", ... Read More:

The programmes themselves are fantasic and worthy of 5 stars....I can't really add to the plaudits written elswhere.

Sadly the DVD is badly let down by a dreadful menu which makes it virtually impossible to chose the episode you want to watch. The interface is just too clever-clever for its own good and has put me off watching this DVD. The entire Father Ted series suffers from these impenetrable menus but this one is the worst.

Sorry folks....

The cast of this one off comedy film reads like a Who's Who of today's TV movers and shakers. Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, David Walliams, and Man of the moment James Corden all star in a multi layered tale of hero worship. Rob Brydon's charcater used to be in a series called Children of Castor and it is the fans of this fictional cult series that pursue him so reverently. There are various sub plots firing off in different directions but it has to be said, it would have really benefited from some ruthless editing. Two thirds of the way through I started reading a magazine.

Interesting backstory- if you have read Russell Brand's Booky Wook, you will know that he too was on this cruise during his heavy drug user period and he and David Walliams admittetd on ... Read More:

Bought this as part of the complete DVD box. I give it two stars because, well, maybe it got better after I switched off ten minutes in. Judging by the other comments - no. Painfully unfunny and the audience don't help with their stony silence. But what's to laugh at? Any of Eddie's shows from the 90s will prove his comedy genius. Don't buy this rotten DVD.
