Smokey and The Bandit is a great film and number two is good but three spelled doom just like Jaws went too far.

Even with that said you can't buy all three as stand alone films on DVD film one not a problem part two and three are on the same disc.

I great to see the bungling of the Shreiff with the oddest name but qiute apt for his job.

This bgoxset is the only way to get the two good film but it seem that you will get stuck with the thrid film.

I like Tom Selleck as an actor but I think he is better suited in programmes like Magnum.
He appears to struggle with the character, perhaps overacting, He is not of the calibre of the likes of actors such as Wayne, Eastwood, Douglas, Scott, Stewart in this genre.
The movie is pretty routine and predictable and offers no surprises. If you want something for a lazy wet afternoon, this is it.

In the UK, the first episode was shown when I was a child, but it was presented as a film, and not as a series, and the remaining parts were never shown. I loved every bit it. As kids do, I watched it many many times. It was a nice surprise to find out that the film was actually a pilot for 2 seasons of sci-fi.

I've bought both, and enjoy all the episodes. One interesting thing, is the cover. When it arrived, I read the part about being frozen in the arctic, and was sure he was frozen in space for 500 years. Well, I had remembered correctly, and somehow the marketing guys just made an amusing mistake.

I bought NYPD Blue on DVD despite having never seen a single episode. I love watching cop dramas like The Shield and wanted something else that I could enjoy on the same level.

Although NYPD Blue looks pretty dated now, none of the action or drama is diluted and it recieved much acclaim from both sides of the Atlantic when it was first screened. Audiences were hooked by the gritty realism of cases worked by detectives of the 15th precinct. The show also delves into the main characters personal lives and we learn about Kellys marriage break up, Sipowicz's battle with alcoholism and Martinez's pain caused by his junky younger brother. This personal touch is a nice contrast to seeing the detectives tough impersonal approach when dealing with ... Read More:

DVD : Attila The Hun
It's nothing but a period drama with togas and furs (and a bad one at that). The acting is poor, the historical accuracy is appalling, the battle scenes make me cringe and Attila might as well have been played by Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn in Lord Of The Rings).
Truly bad, although I watched this with anticipation. The politics portayed are shocking, the death of Attila is attributed to Aetius (contrary to ANY historians beliefs), the battle scenes with the Romans using their pila (bendy javelins... hence you throw them) as spears in some sort of Greek phalanx is laughable and the in-battle acting is like something out of a 70's Doctor Who episode/Ben Hur.
I would have hoped that at least a tiny little bit of research would have been done before ... Read More:

DVD : Kenny Rogers: Coward of the Country [1981] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
Quality is grainy,it's an old 'made for TV' movie, story is so predictable...if you know the song you know the story, yet it's so enjoyable. A real testimony to how a simple story can be so effective. Plenty of life lessons thrown in about when to stand up for yourself and when to 'turn the other cheek'.
What was unexpected was the final scene with Becky and the Gattlin' boys. An off screen rape. It was very shocking for a film that had stayed in 'Disney' safety up until then. I did'nt think that was at all necessary to get Tommy to 'lock the door', a simple insult to her I think would have had that effect at the time in the movie.
