This film is so funny and also at the end very romantic. The chemistry betwwen Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey is really good and the acting is belivable. The story line is original and unique with parts that will make you laugh and parts that will make you want to hide under the cushion 'casue of the cringiness she causes to him.

The story is basiclly about a girl who is a journalist and wants to write more serious stuff but her boss says that she can't, she comes up with an idea "how to lose a guy in 10 days", then he on the other hand agrees to a bet with someone that he can take someone that loves him to a party. I won't tell any more.!! But it's a completely enjoyable film. Maybe not for families but for a night in, or ... Read More:

Just how lucky can one person be and just how unlucky can another person be.This film gives us the answer with lots of humour and a romantic storyline thrown in.It's packed with engaging and likeable characters and
there isn't a dull moment in it.A feelgood film that is worth seeing more than once. There are lots of bonus features including two live performances of songs by the pop group McFly and interviews with the main actors and members of the production team.

A very funny film, with a first rate cast, MISS CONGENIALITY deals with examining the value of an American institution. When I was growing up one of the yearly television events I always recalled was the "Miss America" pageant (as well as the other beauty pageant for "Miss Universe"). Watching Bert Parks' singing the "Miss America" song was on the same level as watching the Thanksgiving Day parade or the Superbowl. In fact, when Parks was fired from "Miss America" in the 1980s, the pageant lost many viewers out of sympathy with Bert.

But that dropping of Parks was an example of what the producers of the show faced in the 1980s. There had been dwindling interest and ratings for several ... Read More:

Ok, I agree with the previous review in that you won't be guessing the plot, but if you enjoyed the first movie you will enjoy the second. The second movie has a similar theme to the first in that our heroine has to save the day, and Sandra Bullocks' type casting as the adorable yet silly Gracie Hart lends itself well to the popcorn movie of it's genre. It'll leave you smiling. A good film to put on to cheer yourself up. Not life changing, not challenging but fun and enjoyable.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, possibly one of my favourite movies - it will make you laugh out loud and make you feel good for a long time after watching it. Although possibly a far fetched story line, it has good morals, is believeable and the characters make you fall in love with them from the beginning. Enough said - go and watch it!
Sliding Doors - It has been a while since I last saw this movie, purely because I find Gwenyth Paltrow so wet and annoying. The story line is good and puts raises a lot of questions - what if?? Definitely watch this one especially if you don't find Gwenyth Paltrow as irritating as I do.
Ghost - an absolute classic if, a bit dated. Brilliantly cast, Whoopi Goldberg steals the show in this movie that will have ... Read More:

I love this film, it was probably one of Julia's first ... but i just love it!!! I'm a sucker for anything with a happy ending, a bit chick flicky!!

It always makes me wish i was there when i watch it too! It also restores your faith in men if you are going through one of those phases where they are just utter pigs ... Daisy thinks she has chosen one, but he proves her wrong in the most heart touching way. I've never been to Mystic, and it doesn't look like there is an awful lot there, but i'd love to go. I'd love to live somwhere where you can get fresh lobster all day everyday!! Jo-Jo is adorable too, she is your typical wanting to settle down girl, but is afraid of losing her independance, she is a little rebel, but Bill calms her down and ... Read More:

This is great movie, a great comedy and much more. This is not just another Whoopi Goldberg comedy but a tale of survival when the chips are down. The lacing of hard life lessons with humour makes this a must see by everyone who not only loves comedies but meaningful movies. To have the courage to stand up for yourself, face being knifed in the back, quit your job and build up a firm from nothing in a finance world of wall street dominated by men and even resort to inventing a fictitious male partner to stay in the game makes the Character played by WHOOOPI not only gutsy but a survivor. I found this story line riveting and filled with courage and valuable life lessons. I recommend it not just for the great comedy but also for the depth and meaning conveyed ... Read More:
