Having read the original book - elements from which were almost certainly 'borrowed' for 'King Arthur' - I was disappointed to have missed what seemed to be a ridicously short run at the cinema. Having now seen the film on DVD, I can see why that run was so short. It's truly awful. Ben Kingsley is hams it up so badly you'd think he was in panto and Colin Firth is so wooden if the film had been any longer he'd have needed a coat of Ronseal. If you want to spend your money then buy the book instead. This was an opportunity missed to make a really entertaining film and is a HUGE disappointment.

This movie wasn't supposed to be exactly a sequel to the earlier film.

You can watch this movie without ever having seen the original, the story line of this movie really doesn't have anything to do with a continuation of the original story line.

According to the Extras making of the movie that's included in the US DVD version, this movie was to be a Dragheart for kid's.

And that's exactly what it is, and does a GREAT job of being just exactly that.

It's rated PG, whereas the original was rated PG-13.

DVD : Hercules: The Legendary Journeys - Season Two (REGION 1) (NTSC)
The second season of the adventures of everyone's favourite half-god continues in much the same vein and at the same pace as the previous one, with Hercules and Iolaus battling gods, monsters and the occasional warlord in their usual, lighthearted way.
It's also nice to see some (albeit heavily amended) original stories from ancient Greek myth popping up, in episodes such as 'The Apple' and 'The Other Side', as well as some storylines of what would have happened after the original myth ended, like in 'All That Glitters', where we see how King Midas ended up, and 'Once A Hero' with a reunion of the Argonauts as they reprise their quest for the Golden Fleece. And between battles, Hercules also finds the time to invent things like surfing and ... Read More:

What can I say. I have enjoyed the whole series from start to finish. In season 5 we see the end of the story in which this fantastic show comes complete full circle. I am very impressed with the imagination behind the story lines.
This closing chaper shows Sheriden taking more of a political role and taking a back seat to the running of Babylon 5 with a new Captain taking over. It also shows the different paths the Command Crew take as they all begin to move on to bigger things.
And even though Earth has been liberated and the Shadow threat has gone. The dark sinister forces that remain are still afoot. The Telepaths and the Drach that remain seem to still be pulling the strings from behind the closed curtains.

The film,'The Last Legion',is the best film which I have ever seen about the 'Roman Empire'.The film is based on the book of the same name, which is by Valerio Massimo Manfredi, who tries to give give an account of what happen to the last Roman Emperor, after he is deposed, and imprisoned on the isle of Capri by the Goth's at the age of twelve, with his tutor.
