This film won't make your blood pressure go up or down but it will keep you interested for its duration.The centre of interest are the brothers who can't get on well but who can't dislike each other enough to stay away from one another either.Something a lot of brothers and sisters in real life will relate to I think.And look out for John Mahoney who plays their dad and who was the dad of Frasier and Niles Crane in the tv sitcom Frasier.

I primarily bought this dvd because i am a Bon Jovi fan, but also i am a fan of multi talented Edward Burns, who directs, writes, produces and stars in this film. This film is a simple look at the life of the 3 central character's in a small town, and essentially is a love triangle. Theres Jon Bon Jovi's hard working character, Lauren Holly who is the object of both lead males characters affection and Edward Burns who plays her ex, that drifts back into town after being away for a long time. She basically has feelings for both and has to choose between the two. I heard a lot about this movie and what I heard was so good, that finally I decided to watch it. And I do not regret it, but I must confess I was a little disappointed, because this movie is really less good than its fame. First let's begin with the good points. This is a definitely not-Hollywoodian film (a very small budget, mostly unknown actors, it is almost totally dialog based, etc.) and so it is a welcome change from the usual product available on the DVD market. Many dialogs are really funny and intelligent. One of the girls in the movie is really a delight to watch. I picked this film up in a pound store and was surprised at the storyline and also intrigued. The story's main character was a tough and hard man and for some reason i really empathised with him. I liked the cast, i thought it was a good story, it wasn't great, but it was definately worth a pound!!

This is an execellent DVD, I bought the CD a couple of years ago, and was in NYC when the original telecast was aired. I think some of the bands give great performances, Bon Jovi (who I was never a fan of) performed a great rock set, Goo Goo Dolls with and execellent cover, Bowie was perfect, and The Who were superb and stole the show. Good comedy slots with Operaman (Adam Sandler) being the pick of the bunch. There are also celeb's accompanying Heros from 9/11, Meg Ryan with the Stackpole family is particularly moving. Overall a great benefit concert and funds from the DVD go to the Robin Hood charity. Buy it and enjoy, I am not sure if it was broadcast in the UK, but is worth getting your hands on, new or second-hand.

...as the previous review mentions the way the movie is filmed certainly adds to its appeal. Some good acting and quite witty script makes this really entertaining. Certain elements of some characters we can all identify with no doubt.

jennifer aniston stars in three great but different movies. my fave would probably be the good girl, aniston has a bigger part in this film then the others, she falls in love with holden and has an affair with him, holden becomes justine's (jennifer aniston) obsesed lover, however if your looking for a happier film then i'd go for the romantic picture perfect which aniston did in 1997, she's the one (1996)is about a cab driver who falls in love with a passenger and marries her a day after meeting with her, his brother is married to jennifer aniston's charecter lovelessly and is cheating on her with cameron diaz who is his brothers x wife. this would be a great present! 3 movies to choose
