Very good film! Will Smith and Thandie Newton played well as usual and Will was his usual comical self. However, the star of the show was Jaden Smith. The film was good as it showed very clearly the feelings of the charcters involved. Will was a tryer but always failed. Jaden was happy just to be with his father. I hope the two of them meet up again for another film. The film also showed that a simple plot will create a film which is to be enjoyed by all the family.

A lot of Blu Ray disks at the moment mainly concentrate on the film itself, which is nice, but having the extras is a bonus, and this disk doesn't disappoint: all the extras from the original The Pursuit Of Happyness are here, which is great. The film itself is good, Will Smith carrying Chris Gardner off well, and his son Jaden great. The story can sometimes be a bit unbelievable, but the way it's told really does make it enjoyable. Plenty of funny bits in between the sadness; the chases to get the bone scanner being some of the best action bits. The Blu-ray transfer is great, 24fps, 1080p AVC, so it's great quality. The sound is also well transferred: 5.1 PCM, which isn't bad, would have liked TruHD, but that's ... Read More:

I have to confess at the start that I watched this film in Italian, and so I don't know how good the translation into English is. But the film itself is absolutely superb! It shows absolutely the worst sides of men and women inside relationships but without ever veering into parody and always staying realistic. As a man watching it you find yourself hating women by the end of the film for the way in which they behave and if you're a woman you'll find yourself hating men for the same reason - (so probably not a film to watch with your partner) - but a film to watch at any other opportunity.
