It was a pleasure to see Jennifer Garner go from Agent Bristow on Alias to this, it was a great change and a move. She clearly had a blast making this movie and I have a blast (with a young sister) watching this movie (though it resides in my collection) ;)

For £3 you cannot go wrong. That's less than half of cinema prices and is worth that to watch the dance sequence alone... as well as how fabulous Andy Serkis is.

As for the special features, the 'I was a teenage geek' is nice to watch and see some HI-larious pictures of the cast as teenagers and with 2 commentary's, there's enough covered for the 13 going on 30 fantastic

Boring, tedious and pretentious, I could not watch more than half an hour of this film. It sickens me to my stomach to see good performances from good actors to be wasted in rubbish like this. To make matters worse this dull stinker of a movie was marketed as a comedy when there wasn't a funny moment within miles!!! Do yourself a favour, don't listen to the majority of the critics and stay far away from it.

I watched this film for the first time over my cousin's house and liked it enough for me to buy it. It's not for everyone, but if you like these coming of age films that over the course of the film you see the character realise that what she is living her life for is not for herself, but for her friends and status.

In the end she manages to put thing's right, this is an amusing film not hilarious, but is a good solid film, which is in the end about finding love, without going on about it too much.

I haven't watched "13 going on 30" (Amazon reviewers give it 4 stars) but I've watched the other films and can tell you that they are excellent and worth five stars. They both have lots of humour and believable and likeable characters in them and are filmed in stunning locations.Tremendous performances from Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler in
"Fifty First Dates" (sandler showing that he is more than just a stand-up comic with a big mouth) and from Heather Locklear and Hilary Duff who play mother and daughter in "The Perfect Man." I've watched both these films twice!

"13 Going on 30" proves that Jennifer Garner is going to be a star mainly because her performance carries us along through the flaws in the screenplay by Josh Goldsmith & Cathy Yuspa and Niels Mueller (guess who had it last). Having been the killjoy Hannah on "Felicity" and only pretending to have fun as Sydney Bristow on "Alias," Garner has a blast as Jenna Rink. As a 13-year-old Jenna (Christa B. Allen) dreams of being one of the popular kids but she wishes to be "thirty and flirty." At her birthday party she is the target of a cruel prank by Tom Tom (Alexandra Kyle), the leader of the Six Chicks, the ultra cool snobbish girls that Jenna desperately wants to join even though her best friend and neighbor Matt Flamhaff (Jack Salvatore Jr.) points ...
