the first season laid the foundations for the seasons to come and this season of Buffy is certainly one of the best, with a bigger budget, and more episodes...also it goes a lot darker and progresses from the monster of the week episodes with a general main plot...contains some of the greatest episodes ever!!!
When She Was Bad-5/5-already kicking the show back into gear and its a very good opener to this season.

Some Assembly Required-2/5-unfortunately it isn't a very good episode but worth a couple views.

School Hard-5/5-yay!!!Spike is introduced with the mentally unstable Drusilla as they attack the high school and set the foundations for the rest of the season.

Inca Mummy Girl-3/5-a decent entry ... Read More:

I was a latecomer to Buffy but having seen most of the episodes, Season 3 shines as the best. Why? They're all still in high school, Cordelia's still in it with her comic relief, there's still an element of escapism for me as an adult. It's still really funny - after this season, it goes a bit more serious; a bit darker and to places I didn't think it should go. This for me is the peak. There are seminal episodes such as The Wish - where Cordelia wishes them into an Alternate Universe where things are BAD. Doppelgangland is funny with an evil Willow doppelganger from the alternate universe of The Wish. Gingerbread is great with lots of comedy from the core Scoobies. My other favourites are Band Candy ( Ethan Rayne, cursed chocolate ... Read More:

DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Season 5
This was the first series that I really got me interested in Buffy. After living abroad for a few years, I came back to the UK to find season 5 running on the BBC. I watched a few of the episodes and got so into it that I decided to buy the box set to see how it ended, and to see how it began. I loved it so much that I also bought all the preceding box sets and watched them constantly.

In typical Buffy fashion, the is a fairly deep story arc involving a demon, in the form of a very attractive human women, who wants to get back to her own dimension. In doing so she must obtain the "Key". During the course of the season, Buffy finds out what the key is and has to protect it.

The episodes in season 5 set are wildly varied. In ... Read More:

DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Season 2 [1998]
Let's say you bought the first series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and good for you). You enjoyed it certainly, but thought it was perhaps a bit too short; or that Giles wasn't used enough; or that Buffy seemed just a little too invulnerable; or Xander was a little too wooden; or that Willow was little too pathetic...

Stop right there. Series 2 of Buffy improves on the 1st (admittedly still brilliant) season in just about every conceivable respect. For starters, from here onwards every season lasts 22 episodes (instead of 12), so you get nearly twice as much slayage for your hard-earned dosh. The fact that there are twice as many scripts mean new writers, shedloads of new ideas, and truckloads of outstanding monsters (Der Kindestod, Ethan Rayne ... Read More:

I loved this series. I feel that it's all about the end of an era of Buffy and Buffyverse. If I could have the Buffster back I would. Unfortunately, I will have to settle for the collection instead.

I've been a huge fan of 'Charmed' since it first started on TV in 1998. Ever since then I've been waiting for it to be released on DVD. And now it's finally happened!!
The entire first season is in this box set, though there isn't any extras included. Norm

DVD : The Dead Zone: The Complete First Season [2001] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
I took a risk and purchased this dvd boxset having never before seen even a single episode, but WOW how it paid off! This is television at its best- every episode is completely gripping and looks as though it has a budget comparable to that of a movie (i.e. with matrix style camera tricks).

While the concept of a central character with a paranormal advantage over others isn't much of a blindingly-original a theme, this is very much above the average. Though the key to its success, despite its many original qualities has to be the central performance by Antony Michael Hall- he's just perfectly cast as Jonny Smith, a guy who manipulates events in the present to avert disaster in the future for himself, his loved ones and complete strangers using the part of his brain aptly named 'the ... DVD : Miami Vice: Season Five [1985] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
This season 5 was not an unbalanced season unlike seasons 1-4. It features two poor episodes unlike other MV seasons where you could get 5-8 poor episodes. Miami Vice 5 starts out with Sonny working on the other side of the Law in the first two episodes (directed by Don Johnson). Crockett assumed he was his drug dealer undercover alterego.

The next episode features Castillo's personal life and showcases his character in the action very well. A few episodes later we come to "Bad timing" with Sonny recovering from his amnesia ordeals only to come up against two of the worst baddies ever in vice. Episodes like "Line of fire", "Borrasca", "To have and to hold", "Miami Squeeze" and "Asian cut" represent straightforward vice at its best.

Such a good series such a shame many of the great songs that featured in this show have been edited for copyright reasons - including the "Paint it black" theme.

The original soundtrack helped capture the mood and feeling of many of the themes of the show (the sixties, change, racism, drugs etc) and the resulting offering is left flat without them.

Please ammend this if it ever makes it to a region 2 release.
