Well I've had this film on video, laserdisc, DVD and now Blu ray! ... I think I like it! Its nothing amazing plot wise, but its just darn good fun to watch! This is also a region free blu ray which makes it even more value! Picture is awesome! I upscaled the dvd version recently and it definetly looked dated! This blows it out of the water! However, the sound is the real showcase here! if you have a hi def sound system get ready to be blown away!

I know theres more to movies than a pretty face but that said Angelina in this is just so incredibly gorgeous you end up glued to the screen. Everything she does she looks amazing. The film has quite a few stunning action scenes and very classy done. Watching a tough gorgeous woman do amazing stunts and kick some butt can never be a bad thing. I'd definatly watch again so in my book deserves its 5 star. Just what I seek in a good action film. The motorbike scene is great.

A candidate for best action film ever made,Speed has a simple storyline, but really good dialogue,stunts and direction and Dennis Hopper playing one of the most memorable psychopaths in film history.If someone told you the basic plot of speed you would laugh at the idea that viewers would believe it or be entertained by it for 2 hours.But you will believe it and you will be entertained by it. This is probably the movie that Keanu Reeves,Hopper and Sandra Bullock will be remembered for most.

I refused to watch this film for some time after it was made - this was because I do not like re-makes of any picture, and I was so in love with the original, I did not want to see another version of it. However, I suppose mere curiosity got the better of me! There are two sides of approaching this film; one very critical, and the other, well, let's not say exactly acclaim, but 'different' would be a better word. Speedy Review: Speed : Brilliant screenplay as if comic strip type. Fast moving action brilliantly portrayed by Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. The villian, Denis Hopper gives one of his best performances ever.In a nustshell,Adrenalin packed. Speed 2: So bad, it isn't even worth a review.

Oh Dear. Speed never need a sequel. It was a solid action movie with good performances and - most importantly - lots of speed, the essence of the film. Unfortunately, Speed 2 lacks both of these things, as well as anything else which could make it a good film. Annie (Bullock) is off on a cruise with her new boyfriend, Alex (Patric). But surprisingly things don't go to plan when a crazy ex-employee of the ferry company with a terminal disease (Dafoe) takes over the ship using only his laptop. So its up to Alex, Annie and a few stupid crewmen to save the day. So that's it in the way of plot. I'd go onto character development but there's nothing to say about that so I'll skip to the acting.
