This film has helped me through so many bad times. Round about the time this was released on DVD i lost my mum to cancer. This was the last film I watched with her so nowadays it has sentimental value. This is a perfect film to watch if you're depressed as it does make you feel better after you watch it. This is my fave movie ever. I watch this nearly every month because I love the movie so much. This cannot be repeated twice, there can't be a sequel to it, It's a golden tear film (meaning weepie) The power that this film has is unbelievable. If you have lost a loved one then you'd know the power that i'm talking about. The acting is superb. Patrick really does make you believe in this character and this nightmare he is going through and by ... Read More:

This is probably the funniest film I have ever seen. There are so many twists to the plot, so many brilliant performances, it would be impossible to list them. All I can say is - watch this film! It is totally brilliant in every way.

'Top Secret' is one of the comedies from Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker. During the years they have brought the wonderful 'Airplane!', the very funny 'Naked Gun'-series, two 'Hot Shots!'-movies, 'Jane Austen's Mafia!' and 'Rat Race'. This movie belongs in that list of very funny movies. It is not as good as 'Airplane!' or the first 'Naked Gun' but it comes close.

Val Kilmer is Nick Rivers, an American rock n' roll singer, who comes to East-Germany. To tell you the truth I can't remember really why he did that, but of course that doesn't matter very much. In East-Germany he meets Hillary Flammond (Lucy Gutteridge). Her father is imprisoned by the East-German regime and Nick wants to help Hillary to find him back. The movie ... Read More:

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, possibly one of my favourite movies - it will make you laugh out loud and make you feel good for a long time after watching it. Although possibly a far fetched story line, it has good morals, is believeable and the characters make you fall in love with them from the beginning. Enough said - go and watch it!
Sliding Doors - It has been a while since I last saw this movie, purely because I find Gwenyth Paltrow so wet and annoying. The story line is good and puts raises a lot of questions - what if?? Definitely watch this one especially if you don't find Gwenyth Paltrow as irritating as I do.
Ghost - an absolute classic if, a bit dated. Brilliantly cast, Whoopi Goldberg steals the show in this movie that will have ... Read More:

Having watched this film a good half dozen times, I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to be able to watch a Saturday night slapstick which does not involve sex gags, gormless teenagers or even worse, high school students. I would however take the Amazon reviewer to task about the "c-list" stars. If John Cleese, Whoopi Goldberg and Rowan Atkinson are C-list, I'd like to know who's on your "a-list". There's a time and a place for everything, and if you want something light and distracting, this is perfect. We can't all watch "Schindler's List" all the time. Even thinking about this film brings a smile to my face.

DVD : Airplane! [1980]
Airplane is the funniest film I have ever seen. The plot is simple, an ex fighter pilot Ted, goes to the airport to persuade his ex girlfriend Elaine to get back with him. When she says no, Ted buys a ticket (smoking or non smoking!) and boards the plane, the flight crew then succumb to food poisoning and then its up to Ted with Elaine's help, to land the plane! The jokes come thick and fast and are genuinly funny. The only complaint is that this DVD has no extras but the film is side-splittingly funny, buy it now!

Firstly, can I just correct "A Customer" who has a very low opinion of this movie.
Can I point out that it is supposed to take place in the 5th/6th century when Arthur was fighting the Anglo-Saxon invaders, so it doesn't take a great leap of intellect to work out that Arthur wouldn't have spoken English, so who cares about a Scottish accent.
Arthur would have spoken Latin.
So the fact that Gere has an American accent is also not really relevant.
Can I also point out that the Athurian legends are just that. Legends.
So you can make any statement about Arthur and nobody would be able to prove or disprove what you say.
This is a good, well acted, well directed action movie.
