I bought this dvd a year ago and my brother 'stole' it from me. To no suprise I bought a second one and my friend made it 'disappear'(with my blessing of course). Yes I'm buying it for the third time in less than 24 months. This alone should tell you how good the music is on this dvd. Buy it even if you do not like jazz, you will not regret it.

I havent heard a trio sound this tight since The Police, this DVD gives you a chance to see Ben Folds Five perform live, in a US version of Later With Jools Holland type show.

For any Ben Folds Five fans its a must. For anyone else with an appreciation of what three very good musicians can do, along with Ben Folds songwriting. Then this is also a must.

Its a shame the Five went their own ways. This captures them at their best.

This is a two-part DVD, the first (lasting seventy minutes) is a documentary about the concert; the second (lasting seventy-five minutes, with ten minutes extra footage as a bonus) is the concert itself.

It's 2 September 2001 and we're at Sting's Tuscan villa where we see him greet the arrival of various musicians from around the world (England, France, the US, Algeria, Brazil, Argentina) who are there to play in the concert. In interview, Sting says the concert is a relaxed affair: "It's just about love, about relationships, music and joy." He goes on to say how "live albums never seem to capture the event, so let's do something different ..." The documentary also includes interviews with the musicians. Dominic Miller remarks how he ... The quality of this bluray was more like upscaled DVD, I was really disappointed! The music was good but the surround sound let it down. Ill let him off slightly as it was filmed when Bluray wasnt really that big but really it should be better! Just buy the dvd.

DVD : John Fogerty - Premonition [1997]
I bought all the Creedence and John Fogerty solo LPs when they first came out on vinyl and their re-releasing on CDs merely affirmed how timeless all the music was - it still rocked out in the 1980s and 1990s and 21st century despite subsequent music trends moving away from the rawness and simplicity of the original lyrics and playing.

I finally got to see the man when he supported Tina Turner on her farewell tour at Wembley a few years ago and based on that excellent set have finally bought this DVD as a memory (having I must admit been disappointed by the preceding "Premonition" audio CD)- the whole disc is great; the setting in a Hollywood swamp cabin on the bayou setting is ideal and the small auditorium plays to his getting the audience up and rocking. ... DVD : Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire: Live at the Greek Theatre [2004]
As a Chicago fan, I've been looking for a decent DVD of the band for ages.
This is class and in particular the brass section.
The bonus of course is the EWF concert. Unbelievably tight when the two bands get together at the front and back ends.
Only downside was that I received an NTSC version when I was expecting a PAL format. The sound is fine, but I just wonder if I'm missing something in terms of picture quality?
Greetings from Cornwall UK
