I loved this film as a child and looked for it a few years ago but had no luck! Was so glad I was found it on here! It scared me so much when I younger and was shocked to see thay it was made by Disney! haha! Me and my 11 year old daughter watched it last night and it still made me jump, I think the music makes it more scarey that what it is but it certainly made my daughter jump too! A much loved film!

I agree with much of what the last reviewer wrote, but I don't dislike this movie at all. It is a bit lacking technically, but I certainly didn't think of turning it off. Screenplay just not quite lucid enough to make this a much better movie but it certainly has its moments. There is a fear factor there, and the voice projection scenes give it a bit of bite, or menace. I also liked the scientific spiele used by Revill, the sceptic physicist, who I thought was excellent. I'd guess that the makers of 'Ghostbusters' drew heavily on this film for their supernatural research terms and techniques. This is probably one of the true classics of the 80's, portraying the battle between the two famous fighter pilots of WW1: Biggles in his Sopwith Camel, and his notorious arch enemy Von Stalhein. Of course, many elements of this movie is fiction, not to mention that it doesn't even start with all of this. The movie actually starts in what should be today (which now is 20 years ago (the 80's, yes?)) James Ferguson is a commercializer for a TV dinner kind of deal, and he suddenly goes back in time to meet biggles. Sound wierd`? Well, what can I say, that were the 80's for ya. But highly original plot, excellent score and soundtrack, and wonderful atmosphere makes this a movie to remember.

Twins of Evil is the last and by far the best of the hammer Le-Fanu vampire trilogy the other two being Vampire Lovers and Lust for a Vampire. Twins of Evil ditches the male lesbian fantasy of the other two films and gives us a good old fashioned gothic horror with a twist. What I like about twins of evil (besides the very pretty twins) is Peter Cushings character. He is a witchfinder who just happens to have actually found someone evil in the evil Baron.Unlike Van Helsing he is not careful or considered he just rushes in to kill anyone he judges as evil. This film is THE Car Chases,Fonda looks the part as the driver,even when the cars are standing still,Adam Roarke is convincing as the reformed alcholic,struggling to make it back to mechanicing race cars,the low point for me is Susan George`s poor american accent and lack of real acting talent in this film. There is an uncredited Apperance from Roddy McDowall who did not want a credited performance to affect his career as he thought the film would bomb. I remember first watching this film as a child, and thought it was brilliant. The children of the story, although knowing they are "different" from the start, do not find out until towards the end of the film what the "difference" is. Both children are "gifted" with strange abilities, which prove useful during their adventure to help them get out of the scrapes they find themselves in. The film starts with the children in a home, and the local millionaire finds out about their abilities and tries to adopt them, keeping the children prisoners at his home. Tia, the girl, has a "star case" and finds a hidden map in it, along with dreams she has been having about a ship wreck her and her brother, Tony were involved in as children. The children ... I bought this collection for "Vampire Circus". It's a sad shame that it's not available in the U.S., which means I'll be paying an arm and a leg to have it transferred to Region 1. It's worth it, though! As a child, I remember being scared out of my mind by this movie. Nobody did horror like Hammer. And nobody ever will. End of story.

Definitely one to watch, on your own or with friends. Having watched this movie years ago and having been unable to buy it amazon came to the rescue. Although the production feels dated the acting is superb especially routum and his cowardly ways. I have a soft spot for Marcus Gilbert/Lord Vulcan and enjoyed the unfolding of his fondness for Serena Staverly. Stewart Grainger played his part well and I loved the scene between him and Serena....... what more can i say, watch and enjoy. If you enjoy costume dramas, Dastardly goings on, heroine's, hero's and gorgeous leading men this is for you. Beg or borrow a copy or wait for amazon to show availability. I will never give my copy up, no way!!!!!

Biggles - Adventures in Time is a super 1980's Si-Fi film. I am not sure that the main charactor is actually Biggles which is a shame. But the action is true to the spirit W E Johns books. A time traveling adventure. This film could have had a follow on story.
