The first Mortal Kombat film is one of my favourite computer game films and considering this, it is suppressing how much worse this sequel actually is. This film starts off pretty much where the previous film finishes with the forces of Shao-Kahn the Emperor of Outworld, invading Earth in violation of the rules of Mortal Kombat. Raiden and Liu Kang travel the world to gather warriors to defeat Kahn's forces.

This is something of a mess of a film with cast changes, a terrible script, bad CGI and some fight choreography that makes Power Rangers look good. The film is not without merit however with a good attempt to stick to the plot of the game and a plethora of characters and special moves shoehorned in various places. This cannot ... Read More:

hi my name is shandor hahn from the UK.i'm a real mk fan and christopher lambert plays a teriffic performance as rayden in the first mortal kombat movie.i was a little disappointed that rayden was played by james remar in mk anihilation but he played a teriffic performance as well.bridgette wilson who played sonya in mk1 was ever so sexy in the movie but i was a little upset that she was switched over by a different woman in mk anihilation but all in all the franchise is so amazing and it beats streetfighter by popularity,what i mean was the streetfighter movie with jean claude van damme was absoulety boring,no good fighting scenes in the movie but at the end was absoulely stupid,mortal kombat in the other hand was everything i wanted,good action scenes,nice scenery,fight scenes from beginning ...
