This is a great sci-fi film. Think Indiana Jones in Space or What Han Solo's life would've been like before taking Luke and Obi-Wan on board. I agree that watching Firefly first is a must as you then get to know and care about all of the characters which only adds to the experience. It's very witty, clever, got great characters, and a good story. Give it a go. You'll love it!!

When Joss was away the writers got to play, and unfortunately rode off on personal hobbyhorses such as James Bond-ish covert units and a "non-dark" boyfriend for Buffy. Add to these a Frankenstein rip-off and you get a mish-mosh of a season with such a confused arc that the last episode seems to exist just to say "Don't worry, we'll have more interesting storylines next season". That said, bringing back Spike and Anya and introducing Tara more than makes up for the cast members lost and makes possible most of the main threads in the arcs of the final three seasons. Making her way through this soup, Sarah Michelle Gellar must have decided it was "sink or swim" and gave her best overall performance of any season. Even this topnotch effort couldn't strike ... this is where Sarah Michelle Gellar became a star,Joss Whedon was welded onto the map,and television would never be the same again.
Buffy Summers was made an international icon in the sci-fi/horror genre, and not only was the lead appealing for viewers it was a strong supporting cast that made it the entertaining show we all know and love, including the fabulous Anthony Stewart Head as Giles,Alyson Hannigan as Willow,Nicholas Brendon as Xander, and Charisma Carpenter as Cordelia.
this made television fun again and well basically it bacame one of the most successful television series ever made!!!!
and is by far my favourite series to come out of the States and my favourite show EVER!!!

the first season laid the foundations for the seasons to come and this season of Buffy is certainly one of the best, with a bigger budget, and more episodes...also it goes a lot darker and progresses from the monster of the week episodes with a general main plot...contains some of the greatest episodes ever!!!
When She Was Bad-5/5-already kicking the show back into gear and its a very good opener to this season.

Some Assembly Required-2/5-unfortunately it isn't a very good episode but worth a couple views.

School Hard-5/5-yay!!!Spike is introduced with the mentally unstable Drusilla as they attack the high school and set the foundations for the rest of the season.

Inca Mummy Girl-3/5-a decent entry with some good make up effects ... Read More:

I was a latecomer to Buffy but having seen most of the episodes, Season 3 shines as the best. Why? They're all still in high school, Cordelia's still in it with her comic relief, there's still an element of escapism for me as an adult. It's still really funny - after this season, it goes a bit more serious; a bit darker and to places I didn't think it should go. This for me is the peak. There are seminal episodes such as The Wish - where Cordelia wishes them into an Alternate Universe where things are BAD. Doppelgangland is funny with an evil Willow doppelganger from the alternate universe of The Wish. Gingerbread is great with lots of comedy from the core Scoobies. My other favourites are Band Candy ( Ethan Rayne, cursed chocolate reducing adults to teens...enter Giles ... Read More:

DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Season 5
This was the first series that I really got me interested in Buffy. After living abroad for a few years, I came back to the UK to find season 5 running on the BBC. I watched a few of the episodes and got so into it that I decided to buy the box set to see how it ended, and to see how it began. I loved it so much that I also bought all the preceding box sets and watched them constantly.

In typical Buffy fashion, the is a fairly deep story arc involving a demon, in the form of a very attractive human women, who wants to get back to her own dimension. In doing so she must obtain the "Key". During the course of the season, Buffy finds out what the key is and has to protect it.

The episodes in season 5 set are wildly varied. In general all the episodes are enjoyable to watch, ... Read More:
