Although i hav not brought the item i have seen the finale and it is well worth the time and tears to watch. But i would like to point out one flaw, it was not aired in 1998, it was well after this time.

Despite all the five star reviews, this is not the best season of the DVD release of The Creek. I can only guess that many of these reviews were written by people who have only seen the on-air show - which is different to the English language version in the DVD set ! Yes I know that sounds complicated and it is ! The change from the wonderful scripts of seasons one and two to a much less sophisticated approach is true for both on-air and dvd. However the contractual issues by which the music on the English language version of the DVD is different from that of the actual broadcast programmes means that you have a sub standard DVD release for Season 3. Ironically, if you listen to the French language version of Season three on the DVD you will hear ... Read More:

I bought this box set recently, having the urge to watch Dawson's Creek again, and I wasn't disappointed. Season Two was always my favourite and to me, it was the best season of the show. I persevered with it for another couple of series when it aired first on TV, years ago, but eventually gave up, tired of how the programme seemed to revolve so much around Joey. I think Season Two showed more diversity.

It has the lovely Pacey/Andie relationship which was so cruelly and unrealistically destroyed at the start of Season Three. Pacey and Andie were the cutest Creek couple. She helped him mature and start to make something of his life, while he supported her through her various traumas. They also had a great sparring partnership, which was a nice change from ... Created by Kevin Williamson, the writer of Scream and I know what you did last summer comes this one of a kind teenage series. Except it's not just for teenagers! It's for anyone who loves witty, romantic, heart-breaking and surreal television. If you enjoy references to other TV shows and movies (as was the trend at the time) you'll love this first series. It seems normal now to mention popular culture in almost every TV show but at the time it was groundbreaking stuff! This is the best season, series one and two are superb, before the series went dowhill and turned into just another soap opera! It was always worth watching during it's six years on the air, but once Williamson left it was a shadow of it's former self. This season introduces us to film-maker Dawson (Van Der ... Read More:

Honestly, Joey and Pacey saved DC for me. And I would have never gotten to season 4 if season 3 hadn't brought forth the most compelling couple on the show. These two have undeniable chemistry, so much that it completely blows every other couple out of the water, especially Dawson and Joey, who have a weird, manipluative friendship (see season three) and NO chemistry or passion.

Season 4 was good only in the fact that it showed the relationship of Joey and Pacey continue on after the last season finale. These two are very good together, but of course, the writers had to bring drama into the mix. This wasn't always done the best way, particularly towards the end of the season, where it seemed as if the writers were thinking of any excuse to bring distance between ... Read More:

no extras on this package which is a shame.james garner has true star quality as jim rockford and the scripts are good.however it does seem that every episode features a car chase and rockford turning to becker for help which he gives reluctantly.also someone from jims past,e.g angel comes along to embarass him.on the whole very watchable mainly due to james garner but a bit cliched in places.still entertaining though.

DVD : Agatha Christie Collection Featuring Peter Ustinov (REGION 1) (NTSC)
As the David Suchet Poirot shows have got so dreary Sir Peter Ustinov's Americanised TV movies that have no real feeling for the period in which Agatha Christie wrote her novels are a welcome change ! Murder In Three Acts is brilliant with Tony Curtice giving an engaging performance and Faye Dunaway is glamorous & crafty in Thriteen At Dinner . Dead Mans Folly is a well put together while Jean Stapleton's eccentric potrayal of Mrs Oliver is a delight . Johnathan Cecil is a pleasantly dim Hastings and it is clear that he and Sir Peter Ustinov worked together very well . These TV movies convey the basic essence of Agatha Chritie's novels ( Three Act Tradegy , Lord Edgware Dies & Dead Mann's Folly ) in a modern setting for a new generation . As a light hearted engaging way to ... Read More:
