One of the best drama's i've seen for a while, I have currently been hooked on "THE WIRE" which is probably the best show ever made. Damages starts slowly and the character "Ellen" played by Rose Byrne seems an unlikely heroin. But as time passes she becomes all you want from a hero in a series. Glen Close definitly steels the show with a outstanding on screen display, you can't decide wheather you love or hate her.
I can't wait for Season 2 which is currently being filmed. Ted "cheers" Danson also plays a blinder as a Big Bussiness Fat Cat who although shows us how far he will go to cement his legacy he still has a concience.
If you watch it you will love it,If you choose not to watch it you will miss out on what Modern T.V shows ... Read More:

This was a good film Wesley Snipes was awesome as the main character Nino Brown he was the despicable character in the film by far however he had charisma and commanded the screen during the scenes he had it was most probably the best performance of his acting career he seems to have degraded into the typecast action man role today which is a shame because he showed real talent here Ice T plays Scotty Appleton a police officer who desperately wants to bring Nino down his acting doesn't leave too much of an impression im afraid in some of the more intense scenes he seemed pathetic and was massively outshined by Wesley Snipes and some of the other actors the film is good if you want a decent little crime film but do not watch it expecting a Tarantino like film because ... "Drugs ain't a black thing, or a white thing. It's a death thing. Death don't give a s*** about color."-Nick Perrti

I first saw this in 1993 and was totally blown away by the directing, cinematography, script and acting and so I was really looking forward to seeing it again after an absence of almost thirteen years. But after seeing this a second time, I could scarcely believe I was watching a film I had remembered very well. In 1994 I would have given this film 5 out of 5 but instead I've given it a 4 due to its frail ending.

New Jack City (1991) is an interesting movie that aims to please. This film marks the first time Mario Van Peebles directed a theatrical released film (that his father helped co-write) and he co-stars in the film as well. The ... Read More:

Shows how men who have been cheated, oppressed & abused by authourity can make up their own minds clearly; focus on & achieve laudable goals despite being misunderstood or undervalued. Great story about how man should respect man irrespective of their background. Great cast, great acting.

I must admit any time I see a Wesley Snipes movie on DVD I am a buyer, simply because the guy has great screen presence (I still see him as the best black actor in the general Clint Eastwood/Bruce Willis type roles zone) and usually (with admittedly a few notable exceptions) he avoids appearing in too many turkeys!

Snipes as usual does not disappoint in this 2006 offering, with a well balanced acting role of "Lucky", a gangster ("hell I probably killed more blacks than the Klu Klux Klan!") trying to go straight despite life's hardships, as shown in an amazing opening sequence using the New Orleans floods as a backdrop, with overall the right balance between acting and action (think the earlier "The Art of War").

This film also has several additional ... Read More:
