after the dissapointing ark of truth, and finishing off the ori storyline left over from the end of the stargate sg1 tv series, stargate goes back to basics, with a fun action adventure. the cast are as good as ever, it's action packed, and it's good to see richard dean anderson again, though sadly this is the late don s davis' last performance as general hammond, a great charactor, and a terrific actor too, don s davis will be missed by sg1 fans and it's a fitting tribute, though it is set in an alternate timeline, so it's not the general hammond we all know and love. baal was always good fun in the show, and it's good to see him up to his old tricks. if there are to be any more movies, let's hope they're as enjoyable as this. great fun!

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is my faveorite TV show. It is suitable for teens to twentys. Other perople have been saying young people won't get it or won't find it funny. I am 14 and think it is the best show around. I dunno if they mean younger but, oh well. I think it is deffinatley worth a buy!:D

All of stargate sg1 is the best t.v ever but the earlier seasons are the best, especially the ones with the goa'uld. Apophis is the second best bad guy ever (after Ba'al, see season 5 onwards). 'Children of Gods' and 'Within the serpents grasp' (Both in season one) are two of the best episodes ever.

I love this adventure, pure escapism. I'm a fan of Stargate and when this spin off came out I was a bit worried but I got hooked from the first episode and still am!!! in fact I would even go as far as to say I like it better. And what about John Sheppard (Joe Flanigan) cor! could watch him all day!! But on a more serious note, I hope this lasts as long as SG1 and carries on being as good. The stories are great and every episode transports you to another place. Keep it up!!!

Stargate Rocks. Seasons one and three are better than season two but it still rocks.'The serpents lair' and 'Thors Chariot' are two of the best episodes ever and the asgard and the tok'ra are very cool.

this is one bloody good movie,i have watched the tv show from the beginning and this is as good as the original movie which started it all off. as a fan of the tv show i give this a 5 out of 5 but if you are not a fan of the tv show this disc is still well worth a 4 out of 5 so go out and buy it

I know this DVD isn't out yet, so I can't comment on the DVD itself, but I can comment on the series. I started watching Stargate Atlantis before I started watching Stargate SG-1, and now I am up to season 6 of SG-1. Season 4 of SGA is overall very good, with fantastic episodes like Be All My Sins Remember'd and Midway, and seemingly pointless and bad episodes like Trio and Quarantine. This season brings back most of the old characters, but has Col. Samantha Carter from SG-1 replacing Dr. Weir as the Expedition Leader of Atlantis. The overall story is the continuation and the eventually conclusion (sort off) of the Replicator storyline. Other storylines include Michael and Teylas pregnancy.
