What can I say - this is simply the best live rock/blues concert recording - EVER!
Clapton effortlessly demonstrating why he is in a league of his own.
Great(guitar)performance from Steve Winwood, superb playing from John Mayer, Robert Cray, Jeff Beck (where the heck did he find that bass player?), Derek Trucks, Vince Gill, et al. Spine-tinglingly good.

I saw Cream several times in their heyday, but was unable to get tickets for these gigs.So I wondered would they still have it, ,would the years have slowed them down or would the old magic from the greatest rock/blues band in history still be there. Well....The answer is an absolutely resounding YES.
This is just amazing,I've not seen even Eric looking this fired up or inspired since the great Cream days, and to be fair since this reunion Eric's a different player playing in a different league than he has for years, just watch footage on Crossroads 2 if you want to see for yourself. His playng on some of these classics are quite literally the best I've ever seen him play.I believe there is such an increible chemistry between Clapton, bassist and vocalist Jack ... Tom Petty has always been critical about the seemingly endless greed excercised by the companies musicians are forced to work with, if they want a record contract. Never has he been more damning in his criticism than on the CD "The Last DJ". On this great DVD, you get the whole of "The Last DJ" performed in sequence, live to an exuberant audience, followed by a selection of older tracks, and the classics "Shake, Rattle & Roll" and "Around & Around". The musicianship is first class, as one has come to expect from this superb band, but the feeling of exuberance you experience when watching this DVD is difficult to surpass, without actually being there.
I thoroughly recommend this DVD to anyone who enjoys intelligent rock. The performance of "Mary Jane's Last ... Read More:

Filmed in 1999 at the San Francisco Fillmore, this opens to an audio and visual montage of urban America over a music bed of `California', then cuts to a mirrored ball, whereupon the lights go up and the high grass dogs stroll onto the stage and blast into `Jammin' Me'. Director Martyn Atkins has used multiple cameras from a variety of angles to catch the band, interspersed with shots of impressed looking girls, which editor Martin Bullen has cut into a seamless whole using a quality sound mix throughout. Between songs they have added backstage and street shots of anonymous roadies, interjecting odd sound bites, wheeling crates up ramps and so on, all of which breaks the flow of a good gig, but fortunately these are only short. The idea (sort of) comes together when the ... Read More:

This is the best I have ever seen Mark knopfler, the songs from all the road running with emylou harris are brilliant, and he does some amazing arrangements of some dire strates classics like romeo and juliet, so far away and why worry. This dvd is essential for any Mark Knopfler fan or any Emylou Harris fan.

DVD : Depeche Mode - The Videos 86-98 [1986]
Visually this is an amazing DVD set. All the classics from - what I believe - is DM's best period. Apart from the obvious monsters; Enjoy The Silence, Never Let Me Down Again, Policy Of Truth, etc you also get some nice obscure titles such as Little 15 and the fantabulous Only When I Lose Myself.

I know others have cited problems with the sound, but I only have human ears and it sounds great to me.
