Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brilliant & Addictive !!
Ok i'll admit, i didn't watch this when it aired on TV - had all intentions of doing so though, but just never did.

God did i miss out, i seen the end of an episode from season 2 on E4 the other day - i was glued. Obviously didn't know who was who and what was what but it was great from the 10 mins i did see.

I already like Calista Flockhart from Ally McBeal (One of my favourite US series EVER - Brothers and Sisters now being next on the list) and i also liked Sally Field from Mrs. Doubtfire and E.R and she plays a fantastic part as Nora - for what i have seen, i only bought it the other day.

I have watched some more and i am hooked, it is realistic, genuine, funny, and dramatic - all in all GREAT!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Brothers and Sisters - Season One
I am not much of a television fan, in fact I don't actually own one! Therefore I generally come across television classics by word-of-mouth and then go find out for myself what the fuss is all about. I also have a guilty secret of only really bothering with television shows which feature a gay character or storyline.

"Brothers and Sisters" came to my attention thanks to a rave review and interesting article in popular gay magazine Attitude. And since the series features a gay character (and it's great reviews) I decided to download the first episode to see what I thought.

And what I thought was- I must go out straight away and get the box set!

I am more than pleasently suprised to find that "Brothers and ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A tottally wonderful TV series! A real must-watch!
I absolutely loved it!!! I can't wait for the second series! I thought it was funny, loveable, caring, and heart-warming! If you liked Desperate Housewives, then you will love this even more!!!

I highly recommend it!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Great drama, but needs some comic relief.
I originally got this on rental as I had just finished watching Ally McBeal and wanted to see what Calista Flockhart got up to next. I hadn't realised that this was a drama and so was initially disappointed to see her in such a different role, but the characters were all so well written and so honest about themselves, and the change in pace for someone like Flockhart was great. My only criticism was that it was just a little too real, drama could do with taking a leaf out of Shakespeare and include some real comedy motif to prevent the mood from being too overwhelming and sadly I didn't find that the script gave enough in this area to enable me to watch it continually.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Superbly crafted characters
This reviewer is incredibly biased, I'm sorry but anything with Sally Field in it just has to be good so I knew I would like this from the start. One of the many truisms of American cinema is "when Sally Field cries, America cries". Field is the formidable matriarch of a family that gives her plenty to cry about. Whether clashing with her conservative daughter Kitty or her smothering of youngest son Justin she plays her role -the liberal, opinionated, compassionate, Democratic feminist whose only job in life was wife and mother superbly.

But Field is just the head of an excellent (beautiful) cast. The show is witty and fast paced but what shines through is the depth of the characters, there is no tokenism here, all characters are ... Read More:
