this is one of the best films ive seen all year....for the people that have only voted this 3 stars or less...has problems. the effects are amazing and the storyline is good, i ave watched it twice in 2 weeks because its that good.

Tell you what, this film was AMAZING! The CGI was so detailed and realistic (well.. as realistic as giant transforming robots can be!). I originally rented this on DVD, but got it on Blu-Ray earlier this week. I'd never compare this to the Back to the Future trilogy, but if you liked those films, you want some amazing scenes and some all round fun, this is definitely for you.

OK, i understand that it pushes the racial boundaries and yes it is a bit far fetched and over dramatic in places but its a damn god film throughout! The movie IS well orchestrated, slightly belivable but operates on so many different stages that its hard not to find something to enjoy. The mix of comedy, love, action, adventure and joy brings to gether a well balenced and heart wwarming movie for all the family. and liv tyler well who needs to say more!

I resisted going to see this film at the cinema as it didn't seem like my cup of tea. But after a colleague kept going on about how great it was, I gave in and watched it. I wish I hadn't bothered. I really cannot see what all the fuss is about. Now, if you've read any other DVD reviews of mine, you'll know I do like superhero films, sci-fi films etc. But Transformers really left me cold. It didn't keep my interest at all, but I had to watch it through to the end just to see if it got better. I'm afraid it didn't. There's no doubt that the special effects are impressive - but I just thought this comic book origination didn't translate well to screen. This is cracking stuff. Plenty of stunts, good one liners, car chases, gunfights - in fact it's pretty much perfect action cinema. A guaranteed good evening's TV.

The Island is actually a remake of a 70's film I remember watching when I was wee called The Clonus Horror. It's a film that always stuck in my mind as one that deserved a multi-million dollar remake, especially now as the idea of cloning humans is no longer within the domain of science fiction but has become a real theoretical possibility. I thought, what a thought-provoking film it could be, the moral dilemma of "growing" clones of the cream of our society only to freeze them until such times as their original counterparts needed a healthy organ transplant. With the two big-name stars and direction from Michael Bay this should be a treat for fans of the original, but any premise of a story is lost amid a blur of tiresome dialogue and explosive action sequences. This movie will appeal to young boys and men who spend too much time with their playstations.

This film was one I'd been waiting for and loved every minute in the cinema, which I believe was the best cinema experience I've had to date. It was great to relive it on DVD when my brother bought it to see it for the first time, but now that HD-DVD is more accessible in price I knew it was something I had to do, and I don't regret it AT ALL. Absolutely stunning visuals show just what this 'dead' format can do. Every scene has new life as each grain of sand, freckle and piece of flying debris looks so good you can almost feel it. A must for any HD collection and now even more worth getting since the price has halved from the initial RRP. 6 out 5 stars :)

Hey this is an amazing interpretation (think thats how you spell it?) of the pearl harbor incident! It has lots of very talented actors/actress in it including my future hubby (josh hartnett ) :P! The battle scenes are very realistic and will keep you guessing all the way through! Hope this was helpful?
