Mannequin is a fresh feel good romantic comedy which brings together Andrew Mc Carthy (Jonathan) with his boyish
looks and a young Kim Cattrall (sex and the City) in a well matched romantic tale of a mannequin(Cattrall) that comes to life in a department store where Jonathan window dresses to compete with a neighbouring store whose staff would do anything to sabotage Jonathan's efforts...among these is a young James Spader acting as the infamous baddie and a spy....Needless to say there are much mischief that both parties get into in this delightful tale enhanced by a colourful character and supporting actor who almost steals the show by the name of Hollywood...look out for him (I think) and a fabulous musical track of the time....simplistic ... Freddy is balls to the wall legend, his spin off wishfully tries to live up to the films by occasionally casting up and coming actors like Lori Petty, Brad Pitt (not famous then) and a few others. Why this series had failed is more to do with the dire acting than the silly and occasionally OTT freaky tales...the acting is okay in some however. Tobe Hooper opens the series with a prequel, nothing we didnt already know and where the films and comic series from the late 80's depicted Freddy's killers as the parents of Nancy, Kincaid, Kristen, Joey and many others here we just cant feel for them the way we should as we dont really know them, bad actors. Freddy's Nightmares Tales from the crypt with Freddy opening and closing each episode with a great or weak ... Read More:

DVD : Freddy's Nightmares - A Nightmare On Elm Street - The Series - Safe Sex / Deadline [1988]
Of all the episodes of the Freddy's Nightmares series I have seen so far "Safe Sex" is one of those that ranks a little higher than the others...not saying much being that this series was for the most part terrible. "Safe sex" featured freddy so yes this is one of those episodes that actually does feature Krueger killing teens...the acting is a little better in this one however this is just one level above terrible porn star acting. A good run nontheless, it had its audience even if most of them were pissed off Freddy fans. The one thing I cannot fathom is why these arent availble on DVD yet (volume one is!!!) this is cheesey TV but its still worth owning.

I saw this yesterday and I totally liked it. Though it's quite old and the special effects seem a little fake, there's nothing wrong with the film and story. A young boy is taken away from his home to Camlot to fight aganist the bad guy and save the castle from ruin. A young Kate Winslet and hot Daniel Craig were great as the forbidden couple who may or may not get their happy ending, the story's enchanting and some fight scenes but in all, a very good Disney movie with feel-good moments and just looking at Craig!
