I am not much of a television fan, in fact I don't actually own one! Therefore I generally come across television classics by word-of-mouth and then go find out for myself what the fuss is all about. I also have a guilty secret of only really bothering with television shows which feature a gay character or storyline.

"Brothers and Sisters" came to my attention thanks to a rave review and interesting article in popular gay magazine Attitude. And since the series features a gay character (and it's great reviews) I decided to download the first episode to see what I thought.

And what I thought was- I must go out straight away and get the box set!

I am more than pleasently suprised to find that "Brothers and ... Read More:

Don't waste your money. I've watched loads of TV series on DVD, and was looking forward to this one. Boy, was I disappointed. An actor who should never have been a lead man as their lead man, slow moving programmes, unfunny gimmicks .. in short, one of the worst programmes I've ever seen. I couldn't even watch it all, it was that bad.

You want classic TV: Try HBO's "Big Love". Try "The Sopranos". For sci-fi, try "Battlestar Galactica". Don't go near this turkey.

the first season laid the foundations for the seasons to come and this season of Buffy is certainly one of the best, with a bigger budget, and more episodes...also it goes a lot darker and progresses from the monster of the week episodes with a general main plot...contains some of the greatest episodes ever!!!
When She Was Bad-5/5-already kicking the show back into gear and its a very good opener to this season.

Some Assembly Required-2/5-unfortunately it isn't a very good episode but worth a couple views.

School Hard-5/5-yay!!!Spike is introduced with the mentally unstable Drusilla as they attack the high school and set the foundations for the rest of the season.

Inca Mummy Girl-3/5-a decent entry with some good ... Read More:

Welcome to the full first season of The Fall Guy. This is an 80's TV show that is a bit cheesy but lots of fun.

Colt Seavers (Lee Majors) is a professional stunt man. But like most people in the entertainment business, he finds that doesn't cover all of his bills. So he also works as a bounty hunter for bail bondswoman Samantha Jack (Jo Ann Pflug). Helping him out are his cousin Howie (Douglas Barr) and his protege Jody (Heather Thomas). And it's a good thing he can do stunts, too, because that ability comes in mighty handy when the crooks run.

This is an action show. And when you consider this was a TV show, it's pretty amazing the stunts they do. Each episode usually features one movie stunt and then several more "real life" stunts ... Read More:

DVD : Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Season 2 [1998]
Let's say you bought the first series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and good for you). You enjoyed it certainly, but thought it was perhaps a bit too short; or that Giles wasn't used enough; or that Buffy seemed just a little too invulnerable; or Xander was a little too wooden; or that Willow was little too pathetic...

Stop right there. Series 2 of Buffy improves on the 1st (admittedly still brilliant) season in just about every conceivable respect. For starters, from here onwards every season lasts 22 episodes (instead of 12), so you get nearly twice as much slayage for your hard-earned dosh. The fact that there are twice as many scripts mean new writers, shedloads of new ideas, and truckloads of outstanding monsters (Der Kindestod, Ethan Rayne and the ... Read More:

When Angel first came out on tv I was worried that it would be too closely associated with Buffy to stand out there alone, how wrong was I???
After viewing the entire season again for the first time in 5 years, I'm pleased to say it was a sheer joy to watch and appealed to me more now i'm older. Although I have been waiting to view the classic first nine episodes with the character of Doyle in for ages, so i'm biased.
David Boreanz isn't outstanding as an actor but makes a great lead, execept trying to do an Irish accent, no David!!!

Cordella is fleshed out from Buffy and turns out to be a fantastic character, well actted by Charisma Carpenter, who balances the darkness of Angel's personality-check out the beggining of Hero for her wacky humour.

DVD : Hunter: The Complete First Season [1985] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
This is a fantastic collection, it's been so long since hard-hitting homicide cop Rick Hunter and his Partner Dee Dee McCall have graced our screens. I watched this series when it was first aired and have not seen it since, until now! This is classic Stephen J. Cannel/Frank Lupo stuff lots of action, car chases, shoot outs, fights and some good detective work as well. The show has dated a little but still remains intereseting and exciting. I cant wait for season 2!

I highly recommend this to fans of 80's cop/action shows.

DVD : Angel - Season 2 (Box Set 1) [2000]
The first season of angel was about introducing us to the scenario of the vampire with a soul seeking redemption on the mean streets of Los Angeles with a few mixed helpers. However, the shows has developed unbelievably strongly from its earlier days as a sort of cop-show esque anthology about the team helping a different person every week. The events at the first season climax highlighted this, what with the return of the thorn in Angels side and the destruction of angel investigations hq.

This second season sees a new hq that suits the show and the ever expanding cast perfectly, the introduction of the (initially) occassional character of the Host who, fo me, comes to challenge Wesley as the greatest character in the show, and finally we see a dark side to Angel. It's not Angelus, it's still ... Read More:
