One of the least known and yet best films I own. From beginning to end it will hold a very big mirror up to all that is truly hateful and mundane when working in a cubicle maze for a boss (or bosses!) who can drive even the most upbeat and placid human being to new levels of insanity. The characters and their private revolution against the system have everyone who sees this movie cackling and nodding their heads.
It is probably the best movie to watch on a Sunday night with all your friends, just for the look your manager gives you the next morning when you mutter the immortal line: "I could burn down the building you know...". ;)

Do you like witty, well written dialogue? Do you enjoy subtle, unassuming humour? If so, I wouldn't really recommend Idiocracy. There is a subtle irony in this product, being that it is on the one hand a social commentary on the state of our future intelligence, and on the other hand, a truly idiotic film. But it's charm shines through with nods to current trends here and there, and generally fine premise. Funny, crude and more than a little disturbingly plausible. Buy it if you laugh at Beavis & Butthead. Same creator after all!

King of the Hill has always been brilliant. It is a perfect mix of brilliant characters, perfect casting, well timed but subtle humour and great attention to detail. Like the old Simpsons episodes, it takes believable situations and manages to make sometimes cringeworthy but always funny. However, the Simpsons writers seem to have completely run out of ideas and the formula has been ruined. Greg Daniels, one of the Simpsons' best writers writes for King of the Hill now

Anyway, a lot of series 4 of KOTH had a sort of bad atmosphere to it, a lot of episodes about Peggy's recovery from a failed sky-dive and Cotton's baby, this series has far more laugh-out-loud moments. The characters are brilliant as usual (Bill being my favourite, seems to ... Read More:

I do agree with the other reviewer with the lack of extra features. (dvd box set one has those) however, you cannot take away the fact that King of the Hill has to be one of the greatest cartoon box sets of the last few years. You may not be getting the Great 'Simpsons' series three storylines (my faves)but the sweet nature of its story lines and the wise cracks from the supporting charaters (especially Dale)make this just as wothy as the previous and following series. If you are a fan then 'dang it' buy them all, you can't go wrong!

I had never watched this show when a friend gave me the box-set as a gift, and so began viewing holding no preconceptions or expectations. I have now watched the first three series of KOTH, and found them all utterly charming.

The show is incredible (in the true sense), in that it inhabits a world which is essentially good (which isn't to say lacking in irritations for poor Hank) but it is a cartoon, after all. Almost every character promotes affection or sympathy, and the friends and family, despite continuously exasperating each other, show each other an amazing level of care and charity. However, countering this unreality is Hank Hill, the everyman-star of the show, who is like a realistic Larry David, with that unenviable habit of finding ... Read More:

Buyer beware! The so-called "director's cut" versions contain no extra material. In fact, these "director's cut" versions are the opposite of what you would expect. These are newly censored versions and material/dialogue that appeared in the original aired episodes has been removed.

Best season so far, I've seen 1-5 but not six yet as that hasn't yet been released in the UK unfortunately.
But for me, this was the funniest season of King Of The Hill yet, and if that isn't enough incentive I don't know what is!

One of the seminal TV shows of my life. When I was nine, ten, and beyond, I listened to G'n'R, Nirvana, and watched Beavis and Butthead. It made perfect sense, and no-one else got it, which also made perfect sense. Cut forward several years, and the movie was released. It had everything that made the show so great. Humour I felt privileged to 'get', while parents and younger kids, and those who loved their 'beats' didn't have a clue.

The movie follows Beavis and Butthead on a road trip across America in search of their TV, and possibly, sluts. Naturally they get into various scrapes along the way, Cornholio pops up, and both the FBI and a couple of criminals are on their asses. Certain familiar characters pop up for the faithful viewer to appreciate. ... Read More:

I bought this on the pre-requisite that Daria was taken from Beavis and Butthead. Never again. If you like Daria, you'll hate this.
