Upto now I have quietly enjoyed the first 3 movies although they were nothing special. In previous reviews I gave all of them 3/5 and to be honest up until the final 20 minutes I was about to award the same for 'the Goblet of Fire'. The finale' certainly makes this film and we see Lord Voldermort at his evil best. Actually, it is a darker more absorbing film than the others and carries on in a similar vien to 'The Prisoner of Askaban'. The downside to this film is that it does drag on for a bit but that doesnt really bother you until you watch it again. For your children, they will find this scarier than the others .... but not too scary. Enjoyable for kids, enjoyable for adults.

I love the Harry Potter books and enjoy all the films. The only problem is that as the books are getting longer more & more is getting cut out when they're made into films. I'd rather have this film longer & have all the story in. Still fantastic though!

Fantastic. This film has plenty of everything you might want in this area. It's great entertainment, has the tang of reality plus a good deal of violence, domestic aggro and an interesting take on mob life.

It also has Al Pacino, Johnny Depp and Michael Madsen putting in top performances, and that can't be a bad thing. Very, very good movie.

The picture quality and sound is vastly improved over the standard definition version and at these plummeting prices, it's definitely worth owning. I've watched it several times now as I was blown away by the Hi Def picture.
Fingers crossed that Warner Brothers will back track and release all the future Harry Potter movies on HD DVD.

DVD : Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (4 Disc Box Set)
How convenient this box set was brought out just as Order Of The Phoenix hits the cinemas, so that all who have not seen the first 4 years can be brought up to speed.
No one will argue that the films even match the books, they don't. The best example is Goblet Of Fire, which falls so far short of the promise of the novel. You have the change of Dumbledore in film 3, from Richard Harris (R.I.P, the true Dumbledore) to his forgetable replacement, a singular piece of bad casting, and the almost inexpressibly bad acting displayed by Radcliffe. Honestly, watch the 1st film, truly cringe worthy. In my humble opinion they should have awaited the release of all 7 films before releasing a box set, but we should be used to this sort of cash in by now.
Of course, the effects ... Read More:

DVD : Enchanted April [1991]
Not particularly for Lethal Weapon fans but a lovely gentle unfolding of a gentle story. It begins in a damp depressing London and end up in beautiful Italy. People, as well as the scenery are transformed and the memorable performances of Polly Walker and Miranda Richardson make for a memorable cinamatic experience. Buy the movie, you'll want to watch it more than once (or twice!).

The best to summarise the film would be to call it "The feminist Dead Poets' Society". The storylines are very similar. The campus environment of a girls' college is suddenly changed by an arts teacher who preaches her students to get a life. Not the life that is planned for them --mother and housewife. For me the film beautifully creates the same atmosphere arranged by schoolmasters, orthodox teachers, busybody parents in 1950'a America. The role of the woman in those days' society was diminished only to certain jobs and areas. This unequality is shockingly revealed through out the film. In the final scenes of the film the teacher shows slides to her students. In the slides are wonderful and happy women doing housework, cooking, cleaning, ironing. Not the life a learned woman wants, ... Read More:
