"It's is a boy girl thing" isn't the kind of movie I'd normally rent. In fact, I didn't rent it, but when I found it in my house, I gave in to temptation and watched it. I must confess it made me laugh.

This film is very predictable, but quite funny, despite the fact that the humor is rather crude sometimes... The two main characters are Nell (Samaire Armstrong), a bright and somewhat nerdy young woman, and Woody (Kevin Zegers), a football player that has the popularity that Nell lacks, but isn't very accustomed to using his brain. Even though these typical albeit very different teenagers can't stand each other, they will have to reach a compromise, due to an spell that ends up switching their bodies. Confusion ensues, as you can ... Read More:

How such unutterable tripe came to be created is beyond me. Despite distinguished creators, a decent cast and a respectable budget, we got something that was badly written, badly acted and looked cheap. Which doesn't even begin to adequately describe the mind-boggling badness of it all.

Their historical and archaeological advisor seems to have been present only to ensure that all traces of accuracy were removed. Alarm bells already started ringing in my head as soon as the Templars were mentioned - writers of fiction seem unable to escape the rubbish about them being guardians of secret knowledge and all that rot which Dan Brown and a host of pseudo-historians got rich on. Needless to say, 'Bonekickers' jumped on the bandwagon quicker ... Read More:

This film demands on putting every person into sterioticial roles, even on the front cover it has pictures of the main charecters and labels them like Geek or Sex freak. This can be sometimes funny but mainly annoying because nobody is just one thing. This film is slightly surial and although having a frankly ludicrous basis it handles it with humour and charm. Not being an American teen movie its significantly less glossy and is much more gritty. After being set up on a date this girl desides to go to this virtual reality confrence where she desighnes her perfect man. but while she is making him there is a explosion and the man she creats come to life. This movies really isnt as simple as it seems there are very many twists and turns. Although ... Read More:

This is possibly Blethyn's finest hour, while Spall, Daws and Lawrence are all great fielders in this brilliantly nuanced comedy-drama. You'll be knocked for six by the witty understated playing of all the cast, and the spot-on script.

In short, Mim (Blethyn) is the long-suffering wife of Roger (Daws) captain of the local cricket team. Every saturday she makes the teas and puts up with the years and years of chauvenistic banter. But then one of the players, Kevin (The sublime Spall) introduces Maggie (Lawrence) into the mix. Maggie and Mim are unlikely friends, but Mim is suddenly, equisitely, painfully, aware of her situation. As the team prepare to face Fatty Willacott's Cromer Mob, the tempers fray and scerets spill out. It's like Mike Leigh ... Read More:

Little Black Book is a film about a woman (Brittany Murphy) who works in the production team of a chat show and is encouraged by her colleagues to look into her boyfriend's past (Ron Livingstone)with lively results!
A film that succeeds in showing how ruthless tv people are to get ratings
but that fails to make your heart-rate pick up until the last 15 minutes or so.Overall it's not a good film, nor is it a bad film.

DVD : Undertaking Betty [Region 2] [import]
Watched this film on a Princess cruise 3 years ago and loved it. It was called "Plots with a View" though rather than undertaking Betty. It's a great British Film also featuring Lee Evans. Worth a watch and easy to remove the Dutch subtitles.
