How can anyone find this movie funny? Maybe it is OK if you are a big fan of Wallace and Gromit, but if you are used to American movies such as Over the Hedge, it is dull, dull, dull. Nowhere near as good as Over the Hedge or Madagascar.

Everything starts with everyone in the town looking forward to a vegetable competiton, but that all changes when a few rabbits are on the loose, and Wallace is the Were-Rabbit (quite scary for youngsters) believe it or not. The veg competiton then turns into a big battle between Gromit, another dog Phillip, Lady Tottington and the Were-Rabbit (Wallace.) I thought the movie would bew abseloutely fantastic, but I found that I could not get a single laugh out of it. Do not buy, just get the famous ... Read More:

The sheer skill involved in making these films along with amazing scripts and fabulous humour makes for entertainment that myself and my kids thoroughly enjoy. Any time it goes on I feel myself drawn to it. It is ageless and I can't recommend it highly enough.

The chickens are tired of life on the farm, and fed up with being eaten when they get too old to produce eggs. They hatch various plans to escape , but none succeed. Then Rocky the Rooster (voiced by Mel Gibson) lands among them, and they think that he can fly and will help them to escape. But can he really fly?

This film is very amusing and the children love it. I enjoy it too. I do however always find myself rather cynically wondering (at the end of the film, when they have escaped to their life of freedom), how they are going to fare the first time they encounter a fox, or when it gets cold and food is scarce and they find themselves longing for their nice warm hen-house back on the farm. Stifle such doubts, just enjoy it.

Love this and related films - hilarious (certainly five stars). Ordered NTSC (region 1) version from seller Caiman who sent PAL version (region 2) to USA...and refused to send proper item after contacting them several times. Seller Caiman should be avoided (unusual for Amazon!); their customer service is just plain awful.

Creature comforts are just so well done, smooth but you can still see how they were done - the perfect balance.
This set is really only the complete series, not a boxset. Inside the cardboard box are the two series as they are usually packaged. Some of the featurettes are very good, although I could have watched many more special features. :)

Definitely well worth watching.... over and over again!

Like I said.... This is a great piece of film! Very creative and interesting. I love the topics they discuss and the animation. I would definitely pick one up for myself.

This product as already mentioned by hundreds of other reviewers, compiles most of Aardman's best animations from the early 80s up to the mid 90s, these include the much loved "Creature Comforts", the hilariously clever "Pib and Pog", the story of two brothers, strangely united by war in "Watt's Pig", the intelligently animated "Owzat", the dark thriller "Babylon: Sweet Disaster" and random conversation pieces put to bloody talented animation.

The variety is like watching an Andy Warhol film festival; random and very abstract films that jump from one extreme to the other. Yet each animation is buzzing with ideas and clever humour guaranteed to delight a patient audience. I say patient because at first glance, the average viewer may not understand certain aspects ... I can't fault Creature Comforts clips, they're superb and I can't begin to understand how the creators get their ideas for the animated characters to match the real 'vox pop' voices and load them with so much irony and humour. Some of the comments and opinions expressed by the human subjects are so sad they're really funny, and Aardman subtley pokes lots of fun where fun's due. Lovers of The Royale Family will love this too.

I also really enjoyed the 'making of' video showing the scenes being acted out as a guide for the animators, side-by-side with the finished result. Both amusing and interesting.

My only criticisms, and they're small ones, are firstly that I think there's some overlap with the Part 1 video as I had a definite sense of deja vu on ... Read More:
