Keanu Reeves is Nelson Moss who has a successful career in advertising. One day, he meets a beautiful and unusual Sara Deever and gradually falls in love with her only to discover that she is dying.

I won't spoil the story for those who haven't seen it but would like to say that Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron look absolutely beautiful as a couple and deliver solid performances. Unfortunately, this still doesn't bring out either the chemistry between the two actors or much of a story. The storyline is extremely poor and never really develops into much. You keep expecting more from it but, sadly, this film never delivers.

However, if you like either Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron or both, they are still a delight to ... Read More:

Good movie, even if it is a bit campy now. A great cast turn great performances with subtle comedy. Worth it just to see Alan Rickman as the brooding artist living next door. A comedy in the same spirit of "Rushmore". Ahead of its time and fantastic when you are in the right mood.

Kevin Klein walks a great line in this type of movie between a serious characterization and moments of comic hilarity. Susan Sarandon and Kevin Klein have wonderful on screen chemistry, and the rest of the supporting cast all are given opportunities to show off their skills through a well crafted script. It's well worth seeing.

This is a good bit of entertainement. I really enjoyed this film, it had a really nice story line and I found all the characters captivating & endeering. I would highly recommend this film as it's packed with themes of love, revenge, tragedy & a little bit of comedy too.

This is a must have. I loved the book, which I read before seeing the movie. The endings are the same, and yet not. No matter what, the book or the movie, you'll enjoy it!
With sweet and chunky Minnie Diver, as Bernadette, who just want to be loved really, for who she is. Just because youre a bit of a rhinoceros - as she in the movie describes herself as,it doesnt mean you should settle for anything less, than what you dream of! - I so agree.

DVD : Dancing At Lughnasa [1998]
Directed by Pat O'Connor and exquisitely filmed (by Kenneth MacMillan) in the countryside of Donegal, this ensemble drama is adapted from the stage play by Brian Friel. Screenwriter Frank McGuinness sticks close to the dialogue of the play but opens up the rural cottage setting to include brief scenes of the town of Ballybeg, the stunning and untamed countryside, and the pagan harvest celebration, the Feast of Lughnasa. Set in 1936, the film focuses on the difficult lives of five unmarried sisters and an eight-year-old love child, when Ireland was on the verge of World War II and industrialization. The film stresses character and theme, rather than plot, highlighting the relationships among the sisters as they cope with the arrival of their brother, a priest returning ... Read More:

Taken as a whole, this is a rather splendid, at times haunting, film which is based upon J.L. Carr's (1916-1994) beautiful and delicately crafted novella entitled 'A Month in the Country', 1980.

The main plot is set during the warm Summer of 1919 and tells of how two young men struggle to regain their 'peace of mind' in the tranquil Yorkshire countryside, after having experienced the horrors of 'The Great War' (World War 1).

A lady benefactor has bequeathed a considerable sum of money to a church in Yorkshire; in order for the church to realize the benefit of this gift, a medieval mural must be uncovered from beneath the Victorian paintwork superimposed over it. Simultaneously, the remains of one of the benefactor's predecessors are to be exhumed ... Read More:

This film was a real disappointment - I love romantic comedies but this really wasn't very funny and the romance was just too twee for words. With a predictable, but yet oddly unbelievable plot, this was for me not a feel-good film and you definitely wouldn't need to eat many choccies with this one to feel a bit sick.
