You dont have to be Gay or `Straight' to watch this SUPPERB film !! It is a classic. Oh..... so funny, moving and tragic. All the cast need to be mentioned as they all shine in their individual roles. Harvey, as Arnold, is just fantastic and Anne Bancroft as his Jewish mother, trying to get him married off......... to a woman !! is awesome. Anne plays a jewish mother with campness !!!

An excellent film. The best part for me, is when he goes down to colleage, where his adopted son attends in his dressing gown and rabbit slippers !!!

For those who have never heard of this film and wish to give it ago, remember it is from a Broadway Play, written by the main actor in the film, Harvey, so at the beginning, you will ... Read More:

DVD : The Canterville Ghost
This version of the story (and it's one of so many remakes) is a wonderful balance of humour and pathos. Let's not get too 'literary' over it - it's just an extremely good story turned into a highly enjoyable film full of quirky characters; both offbeat and slapstick humour; and a gloriuously Over The Top performance by magical Sir John - who obviously relished playing such a mischievous ghost. Other versions may be truer to the original story - but this one presses all the right buttons and leaves you looking forwards to the time when you can watch it again.

4.All in the Family: The Complete Sixth Season (REGION 1) (NTSC) starring: Carroll O'Connor, Jean Stapleton, Brendon T. Dillon, Vincent Gardenia, Bill Quinn
