For some reason this is probably my least favourite season but nevertheless it is still absolutely fantastic. There are some epic moments and episodes here that i would consider my absolute favourites but something just relegates it below the others, i don't know what it is, maybe the bad guy isn't up scratch, either way saying this is my least favourite is hardly an insult.

Top stuff and Jacks rawest ever moment is in this series.

This is one of those wooden Sc-Fi series that just grows on you and before you know it you can't wait to see the next episode.

It is filled with Hot Chicks who spend far to many hours in the gym (look out for Ming's daughter), which can also be said about actor who plays Flash Gordon instead of those all important acting lessons! In fact: you'll find yourself rooting for "Ming the Merciless" (not to be confused with the ex-Lib Dem Leader) played by John Ralston who clearly can act!

This series is closer to Lexx than the tiresomely serious Battlestar Glactica series, which I also own. Of course, its no where near the Stargate franchise, but if you can appreciate a less full on version of Lexx with bigger budget then you'll ... Read More:

Heroes has been the best series too be shown on TV in years and this second part of the first season contains the final twelve episodes. The first half of the season was extremely good and if anything the episodes presented here are even better. This does have something to do with the brilliant writing and the involving plot as well as the performances by most of the regular cast members.

Despite the more than adequate performances from the cast, this half of Heroes is comprehensively stolen by the various guest stars that crop up now and again. Of particular interest are George Takei, Christopher Eccleston and Malcolm McDowell all of whom are great actors and all of whom steal the show whenever they are on screen.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Part 1 of this series. The story is well written with plenty of questions being thrown up. It is very much a mystery and my curiosity led me to carry on watching this way past my bedtime.

I too have found their decision to split the series into two parts for European release a disappointment. Series 1 is now available as a single box set but the pricing is extortionate compared to what USA viewers pay.

I'll be watching Part 2 next and hope it maintains the high standard set by Part 1. I'm certainly eager to find out what happens next.

Michael Weston (Jeffrey Donovan) is a spy and very good at it. Or at least he was. One day, while in the middle of a covert mission, he is burned. For us civilians, that means fired. Barely managing to escape with his life, he passes out and wakes up in Miami with no money and no idea what happened. Worse yet, Miami is him home town, and that means dealing with his Mother (Sharon Gless) who he hasn't seen in years.

Michael is determined to figure out who did this to him and why so he can get back to work. So while he slowly gathers pieces of that puzzle, he picks up odd jobs as a private investigator. When he needs back up (which is often), he teams up with ex-IRA weapons smuggler (and ex-girlfriend) Fiona (Gabriella Anwar) and friend and ... Read More:

DVD : Miracles: The Complete Series [2004] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
'Miracles' is a little gem of a series. It only ran for 13 episodes before cancellation in the US, but it looks amazing, the quality of the episodes is very high, and the final episode ties up enough ends that, although you'll be left wanting more, it isn't exactly a cliffhanger, and it isn't going to keep you wondering unbearably what-happened-next forever. The pilot episode on its own is a haunting piece of filming worth the price of the box set.

The series treads similar ground to 'Sea of Souls' in the UK, focusing on the investigations into the paranormal of Paul Callan, disenchanted former miracles-investigator for the Church, parapsychology academic Alva Keel, and ex-cop Evelyn Santos. The three leads are great, ... Read More:

DVD : Spring Break Shark Attack (Ws) [2005] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
Saw the first 20 minutes of this film on TV when I was on holiday in France. The film's title was "Panique, sur la coté" (Panic on the coast). I really enjoyed it and thought I must get it. After much searching I finally discovered it under the title "Spring Break Shark Attack". This film has a very good story line. The scenery, colour and beach babes are brilliant (better than Bay Watch). I have really enjoyed watching this film. Many thanks to Caiman, USA for very speed delivery.
