On the face of it, I shouldn't have enjoyed these three. I'm not a fan of zombie movies, generally finding them deathly boring, and I don't play video games, so I came to these movies completely uninitiated in the RE universe. But I have to say that I found all three RE movies extremely enjoyable. Are they high art? Of course not. But for what they are, they produce the goods. I think the addition of a fairly solid plotline and generally rounded out characters lifts them above the average zombie movie. My only complaint is that in RE3 we are never told what happens to most of the surviving characters at the end of RE2. With the exception of Alice's love interest, who reprises his role, the others are simply forgotten ... Read More:

Guns, Girls, Zombies... GIVE ME MORE!! Absolutely awesome, fans of resident evil and zombies alike should flock in their masses to watch this. Incredible story, and they managed quite well with special effects on such a low budget. WATCH IT NOW!!

to start off with, i've played all the mortal kombat games, so i'm a big fan (for those who want to know, i like street fighter aswell, but this is just more raw than that is). the film, doesn't quite have the violence, but actually has a decent (though extremely cliched) story. something i wasn't expecting. ok, so the acting is average, and the direction is not brilliant, but he does set up the outworld well, and it seems real. well done to the props department for that. also, the fights. now that's the reason why anyone would watch this (let's be honest now, folks!). i gotta give it, they are well executed. paul anderson certainly knows how to appeal to the main audience, at the least. finally, the soundtrack, WOW. this is the best soundtrack i have ever heard. ... A group of explorers set out on a journey to find a pyramid that is hidden miles below the earth's surface, only to find a raging battle is happening between Aliens and Predators. When you see all the sequels made from the original Alien and original Predator, a prospect of a meeting in the same film sounded like a fantasy. But low and behold it was achieved in 2004 and was an exciting prospect considering the originals broke minds in 1979 and 1987. However with the extra sequels made and the products available, they have become a franchise and when watching this Sci-Fi thriller, you will believe this was used to build on the already established brand, and was a product to test ride the ever improving CGI effects. Kurt Russell is excellent in this film in the title role. Soldier is a compelling story-driven SCI-Fi film with a message and some good FX. It's got a very good cast, and it is Paul Anderson's BEST film up to date.

Before this film even existed I was never familiar that there was a whole universe of Alien vs Predator type stuff like comics, games etc so I was quite shocked that they made this movie and felt it would simply be another vs movie much like Freddy vs Jason. In a way it became what I expected it to be but with a little more on top, it was disappointing yet enjoyable at the same time. The major tag line for the movie was "Whoever wins, We lose" which when you watch this film you come to learn that actually that's not strictly true. The story is about a team of Archeologists who discover that there may be an ancient Aztec temple 2,000 feet under the Antarctic ice and they want to go on an expedition to explore this temple, however they find themselves in the middle of an even greater problem, ... I think people are reviewing AVP abit harshley oh sure its not the best film to ever come along but it's most deffinitly not the worst. And a little pointer to those who say "Oh its a B movie Alien n Predator would never meet" to them I say please go and watch Predator 2 because I and 30000 over people recall seeing an Alien skull on the trophy rack. Ok anyway time for the review Alien Vs Predator: The plot YES their IS a plot!!
