The first 2 american pie films were absoluteley awesome, 3 was great but was missing something that the first 2 had, 4 well should'nt really be called american pie though alright film and the same goes for naked mile. After 3 they just seemed to get pointless and lazy, and also the pointless apperance of Jim's dad in the last 2. In my opinion American Pie 2 is the best American Pie and is an awesome movie. So i suggest buy this if you see it cheap, if not buy American Pie 1,2,3 because the last 2 films are pretty pointless(but alright).

Having bought this DVD a couple of years ago because it came in a set with Love Actually and Notting Hill, I have only just gotten round to watching it. And my have I been missing out? About a boy is an incredible film and will appeal to all ages and both genders. Great family viewing as it is not littered with swearing like the majority of films around and no cringy 'oh my god i can't believe i'm watching this with my children/ parents' moments!
All in all a fantastic performance from Hugh Grant, and a wonderful feel-good comedy (which is actually funny) that i am sure to watch again and again... just maybe not as much as i watch Love Actually cos that would be impossible!
Highly recommended

In Good Company wasn't a laugh out loud film but it was witty throughout its duration and had one or two touching moments in it too as the relationships between the characters frosted and thawed. If you're someone who is trying to work your way to a top job in a company then this film will make you think about the advantages and disadvantages of doing that.
The characters were all noteworthy and you ended up feeling sympathetic even towards the bad guys.Though the film is advertised with an emphasis on the relationship between Dennis Quaid's young boss and Quaid's daughter (played by scarlett johansson) the relationship that gets most air-time is the one between Quaid and his boss.

This film pretends to be a spoof about the current obsession with superficial fame as expressed through 'singing' 'talent' shows. Whoever wrote this film is not clever enough to pull this off.

The main characters in the film are :

1) An 'camp' Arab guy and his 'friend'. His colleagues want him to blow up the US president when they meet on the singing show (he is the finalist).
2) A blue eyed blond haired 'American girl' (the other finalist)
3) Her boyfriend (who wants to marry her)
4) The host of the show (played by Hugh Grant).

The problems I had with the film were :

1) It was hardly a spoof of this current 'celebrity culture'. This is evident in the fact that character 2) ends up being the 'good ... Read More:

i loved the original "heaven can wait" but found this much more entertaining, very funny, and kept my attention. Chris Rock plays the part so much better than the original. he came across as a naturally funny guy with loads of quips and humour. i would highly recommend this film. easily a five star.
