What a heart pounding thriller. Plots about assassinations are always exciting but this had a particular twist to it, being that the same event was repeated from different character's perspectives. What follows is a hair-raising helter skelter of events, each character noticing different significant moments that no one else knew of. A really good film and some stunning performances from Quaid and Hurt.

Winstone plays Winstone yet again. He should stick to gangster films where the dialogue is limited and the only acting skill required is to look hard.

Could have been good if Henry had been played by an actor.

Got this DVD frre with a Samsung BDP1500 bluray player so I didn't think it would be very good. How wrong, could I be. Kept me and my family enthralled with its twisting and turning plot. Great action sequences that will keep you on the end of your seat. Absolutely stunning in bluray.

DVD : The Jury [2001]
I saw this TV mini a few years ago when it was first broadcast. It has an excellent script, stellar cast, and high-quality production values. All the stories of the jurors are complex and real, things don't all get resolved or not the way you expect, and you still don't ever know for sure if the boy is guilty or not, even after the jury reaches its verdict. There are brilliant performances from everyone. People who've only seen Gerry Butler swinging a sword or screaming "tonight we dine in hell!" in leather underpants will be pleasantly surprised by his emotional turn as a recovering alcoholic who makes his first tentative foray into a relationship with a married fellow juror. Don't know her name, but the actress is sublime as the tortured wife of an emotionally ... Read More:

This trend, in the UK at least, of releasing one dvd (in this case 'Births, Marriages & Deaths', in other examples the first series of a show, like Messiah, The Vice) and then later on releasing box sets like this one (in those other cases the entire series) is a disgrace, meaning you end up having to buy some of the dvd's twice.

As for this particular boxset, I do think Ray Winstone is a fantastic actor and I loved 'Vincent' and really do want this series on dvd. But as for the others, I've already bought 'Births, Marriages & Deaths' on dvd and I don't want 'Henry VIII' as I just didn't see Ray as this character and it didn't work well for me.

So basically, to get the ... Read More:
