Stargate Rocks. Seasons one and three are better than season two but it still rocks.'The serpents lair' and 'Thors Chariot' are two of the best episodes ever and the asgard and the tok'ra are very cool.

DVD : Stargate Atlantis: Season 4 (REGION 1) (NTSC)
I know this DVD isn't out yet, so I can't comment on the DVD itself, but I can comment on the series.

I started watching Stargate Atlantis before I started watching Stargate SG-1, and now I am up to season 6 of SG-1. Season 4 of SGA is overall very good, with fantastic episodes like Be All My Sins Remember'd and Midway, and seemingly pointless and bad episodes like Trio and Quarantine.

This season brings back most of the old characters, but has Col. Samantha Carter from SG-1 replacing Dr. Weir as the Expedition Leader of Atlantis. The overall story is the continuation and the eventually conclusion (sort off) of the Replicator storyline. Other storylines include Michael and Teylas pregnancy. Replicators and pregnancys I ... in my opinion this is one of the strongest seasons of SG-1 not only is it the most action packed (counterstrike the quest), the funniest (200), the most character driven (flesh and blood) but it also the last which is surprisingly a good thing because it not only allows the sister show atlantis to get more noteriety but also for sg-1 to move up and up and up is the only way this great franchise can go!

'Disclosure' is the poorest episode to date. Only of interest to those who are totally unfamiliar with Stargate's earlier seasons.
'Forsaken' is OK, but it becomes ever clearer that scripts are still being written for "Dr. Jackson", rather than "Jonas Quinn". In general, the personal interaction that made Stargate's 2nd through 5th seasons so special is missing in Season 6.
The Changeling' will be fine for Teal'c fans, but isn't anything special.
'Memento': the best episode, by far. And the only reason I didn't feel the disk was complete waste of money. Good storyline, and it introduces more facets to the Stargate universe with the crew of the ship.

As the previous review points out, Region 1 has fewer documentaries than Region 2, and a shorter version of the episode 'Threads'. However, it has one big plus - COMMENTARIES. Every episode except 'Threads' has a commentary on Region 1 (even Claudia Black does a commentary on her episode!), while Region 2 has no commentaries at all. So it is up to you which you find more important.

I wondered exactly how the SG-1 producers could possibly top season 6. Well, I was simply blown away.

I have been a huge fan since the very beginning of the show and this is one that gets better in each season. The opening 2 episodes deal with the return of Dr (Daniel) Jackson, last seen in the season 6 climax when he broke the rules and attempted to destroy Anubis with his ancient powers. The show usually begins with an action packed double-episode and this is by far the best one yet. You get the usually "random planet" exploration and its good to see an episode that doesnt seem important at first, suddenly tie in with a later plot based episode.

In the middle of the series, we are treated to another double episode that sees ... Read More:
