In the sequel to the brilliant Bill and Ted's excellent adventure, Bill and Ted are under threat from the future, as the evil Chuck De Nomolos sends two evil robots, disguised as Bill and Ted to earth to kill human Bill and Ted, in order to change the future.

In a great comedy pairing, Winter and Reeves excel to deliver delicious humour to the audience in this entertaining sequel. Though lacking the sharpness of the first, Bogus Journey still has the great catchphrases and dialogue from the leading pair, not to mention an hilarious performance by William Sadler, who brings a humorous side to the figure of depth, the grim reaper. Watch for the games sequences, the best moment in the entire film, but one of many great techniques used ... Read More:

Unlike the superb BBC serialisation that was faithfully based on Mary Norton's book from the 50's, this film has been updated and an American TV star brought in. Unfortunately the script and plot isn't really quite as good as the original book and the out of place slapstick does reduce the tension somewhat. My son (9) and daughter (11) really liked this film, but I preferred the two BBC 'borrowers' series, first screened in 1993 and 1994 (make sure you get the two DVD set, series one and two - 6 hours of quality children's TV). The BBC series is far darker, being played straight with no slapstick and despite the Borrower's amusing antics and the witty script, it's got many quite tense moments and is all the better for it. The special effects in the film (and ... Read More:

I loved the Garfield cartoons as a kid. To find out they were finally doing a live action movie was quite exciting, although unfortunately like school uniform, you grow out of it as you get older.

Having said that its very interesting to watch if you're familiar with the cartoon, but if you hated that, then the films will not turn your opinion.

The first movie is just a basic cartoon theme brought to life, the second movie expands a little further out with more character voices. I'd certainly prefer the second one with voices from the likes of Bob Hoskins, Jane Horrocks, Vinnie Jones and Tim Curry and of course the always funny Billy Connolly as the jealous Lord.

But the tragic thing is, there's nothing at all magical about ... Read More:

A friend at work said I should watch this, it was great entertainment and lots of fun. My Mother watched it with me and loved it so much she even waited till the end of the DVD before she went to the toilet in case she missed anything: a record for her. Really good entertainment and recommended.

A stylish and enigmatic TV drama that draws you in as the intrigue unfolds. From the first episode the acting is brilliant as James Belushi stars in a well typcast role and is totally unpredictable at every turn. The story twists and turns in such a way as to lead you down paths, only to emerge in a totally unexpected place. The futuristic appearance of the cast combined with an excellent plot make this a joy to watch. It is lavishly produced and won't fail to disappoint those who enjoy something a little quirky and off the wall. It is remeniscent of a Quentin Tarantino film. The storyline revolves around a TV giant of the future and it's director who has a vision of what future TV should look like. Not wanting to spoil the plot, watch it and enjoy the experience of mimicom. ... Read More:

I loved the idea of this film, the two lead children are very good, in particular the child genius, there's alot of quality supporting actors like Stephen Fry, Simon Callow, Paul Giamatti, Ned Beatty and Leslie Phillips.

You'd think that the stage was perfectly set for an outrageous comedy romp, sadly in my opinion at least I was sorely mistaken, just about all of the adult actors are cast in straight parts for some totally unknown reason, the only actors even remotely given anything funny to do are Callow and Beatty, such an amazing waste of a group of excellent comic actors.

I got fed up with the lead actor saying "this is the best day of my life" or "this is the worst day of my life" all the way through the film, there are some good moments in the film, ... Read More:

DVD : Princess of Thieves [2001] (REGION 1) (NTSC)
The plot is based upon the adventures of 'Robin Hood's' Daughter, hence the title 'Princess of Thieves,' played by none other than 'Keira Knightly.' This film has much in common with the film 'Pirates of the Carribean,' exhibited by the perfect combination of humour, romance and adventure.

This is one of Keira Knightly's first films and you might expect this not to be worth watching. However, 'Knightly' gives a mature performance with acting talents equal to that as seen in 'Pirates of the Carribean.' The rest of the cast are also well chosen and deliver a surperb performance. Disney as usual make it great viewing for all ages and ensures that this film really delivers.

It's such a shame that this was never released in the UK. However, if you have multi-region ... Read More:
