The movie is quite serious for a long duration. It is debatable to view The Weatherman as a funny movie. The comments written in the front cover as being comedy can be slightly misleading, as it really hard to define the movie category. It is about Chicago number 1 weatherman known as Dave Spirtz. Nicholas Cage played the role superbly and demonstrates to viewers the inside life of a successful TV personality. His personal life is a complete mess. A majority of the movie emphaisis is directed to the personal aspect. The main troubles he experiences in the personal life are a failed marriage, adnormal kids and an ill father potrayed wonderfully by Michael Caine, even though the attempts at an American accent are feeble, but he is ...
