These are brilliant suspense / shoot 'em up films. Classic stuff, and while the first is the best by a wide margin, they're all worth owning. Great fun.

I love these movies, some of the best Horror around. BUT THESE FILMS ARE STILL CUT.. the running time given here and on the box is wrong, these times are the American edtions, if you watch the films you will see they are shorter than the time given on the box, altogether around 30 minutes in total {4/5 minutes each film}. Plus there is no three-d glasses.. Still worth getting though.

I remember watching this film when it came out, and was absorbed by the suspense and surprise, yet random 'deaths' that occurred throughout. In typical fashion, I lent it off a mate at school, who I'm sure we all knew one, had dad who was a bit dodgy... and had the pirate copy on VHS. It was a big talking point, and we all laughed over various parts of the film. Unfortunately, I personally don't think the film is half as good second time round. I'm sure it's not just me now that i'm older, but it seemed the more I tried to take it all in, the less convincing it all is. This movie really wasn't great and I didn't really enjoy it as a movie. I really don't know what gave it it's fame today as a terrifying movie, because it's desperate attempts at being scary are laughable. People must have been scared a lot easier in the early 70s. I found this movie quite boring aswell, that was its problem, unlike most horror movies, it completely failed to grasp me. A girl becomes posessed by the devil and her parents have become terrified of how obnoxious and truely hidious she has become so they call in two priests to perform an exorcism on her, but it doesn't seem to be having much of an effect on her. ..but also not a reference title. I had high expectations in "Cliffhanger". Being one of my fave movies, especially a great work from acclaimed director Renny Harlin, this blu ray release does not hold up with my hopes, but does not dissapoint either. The good news: the newly remastered picture and the overall transfer look definetly better than the DVD version. The bad news: It does not really give a thrill while watching the picture quality. Tough some scenes look pretty clear and sharp, and even occasionally touch the quality blu ray stands for, the all-in-all picture throughout the movie appears to be a bit un-sharp, somewhat with a loss of crispy clear pictures. When he sees a gang of misfits breaking into the luggage area, John gets rightfully suspicious; but the Captain thinks it's just punks fooling around. How wrong is he? With John facing an apocalypse if he doesn't restore control, and he's got few friends, and a lot of enemies including mercs and the lack of cooperation from the police. Another fine film, thankfully remastered for Blu-Ray disk. The picture is beautiful and full framed, running at a staggering 30MB/s average, and the tru-HD sound at 20MB/s is absolutely amazing. As an ex film studies student I have all the usual DVD's anyone would expect someone to own who has a genuine love of movies. All the classics. The Covenant is a guilty secret and is kept in the bottom drawer along with my very well used copy of The Marine, my episodes of Supernatural and anything I have starring The Rock. This is tripe but it's just fantastic...Apparently they have magical powers? I can't say I pay much attention but they can certainly floor me with a look! Also if the ability to fill a pair of speedoes whilst not looking a total prat was a power then they would rock. Don't be fooled, this is for slumber parties and single women like me who are old enough to know better....hmmmm

This has some great action and good lines. It's a good film and the stunts have some great moments to them. Well worth buying.

Brought this off a mate of mine for £1 and watched it a couple of days later. About 10 minutes into it i realised i had seen it before on tv many years back and promised to myself i would buy it on dvd, but as usuall i forgot what it was called and it went out of my memory. Just by luck i brought it off my mate as he was having a clearout. All i can say is, his mistake. I have literally hundreds of dvds, movies and series and i can safely say, this dvd wont even be leaving my collect. 3 key factors in this movie dictated why you should buy this: 1- The humour.
