Hi
I know the old version of BG is not really up to the production values of the New Series. But hey its nostalgic fun, and far better then anything else around at its time on TV such as Lost in Space, Buck Rodgers etc. For me I really enjoyed looking back over this old icon from the 70s & 80s. Its a must have for my collection.

Say what you will about Danielle Steel it's true her books are not high brow works of literature but they are none-the-less entertaining.

The TV adaptations of her books are exactly the same not fantastic oscar worthy movies but the perfect way to while away an afternoon.

Zoya is one of my favourites as I love the history surounding the lead character. Ms. Steel certainly goes to alot of effort to research her books and it shows.
We follow Zoya a fictional Countess a friend of the Tsar's Children though her life of privilage in Russian and the subsequant revolution to Paris during the first world war. We then leave Paris and head to America for both the great depression and the second world war and onwards. She loses ... Read More:

DVD : Danielle Steel's Zoya [1995]
This was he very first Danielle Steel dramatisation that i'd every seen during my summer holidays. I became dran into the plot very quickly and tuned in the next day for the next instalment without fail. Zoya is a Russian countess forced to run from her home after her family's murder during the Russian revolution. We then follow Zoya though both World war's marriages, births and deaths in true Danielle Steel style. After seeing Zoya i went out and bought several Danielle Steel novels and am now well and truly hooked. One of my all time Favourites, the best couple of hours you'll spend in a long time.

Dolly Parton dons a red version of her familiar "big hair" to play Leanna Taylor, a struggling singer who never quite made it big...(In show business, that is.) Leanna learns that before she can get on with her future, she has to deal with her past. She learns to deal greatly through music. With the help of fellow country crooner Billy Dean, Dolly spices this movie with great love songs and tender performances. A sure winner for anyone who likes good music, good fun, and the wonderful Parton.
