Good film, tells the story nicely, doesn't leave gaps unlike so many others. The leg is a bit crazy sometimes but for grindhouse i guess its kind of tame. Definitely worth watching for zombie fans.

Guns, Girls, and Zombies... What more does a man need?

And Bruce Willis dies. Good game!

I wasn't sure what to expect considering I hadn't read the comics. I was impressed. This is a superb addition to the film noir tradition. It's modern take on the Raymond Chandler's Phillip Marlowe story. Yes, it is violent and yes it's sexist in terms of interpretation of women, but it's accurate translation of what you see in the comic books. I think it works well as a mix of animation and live action, better than 300. If it was fully animated or full live action then the film would have ended up being a pastiche. As it is, the casting, especially of Bruce Willis, Clive Owen and Mickey Rourke among the men is great. Some of the women are good too.

If you can accept the violence, I would thoroughly recommend it.

I had no idea what this film was about when I started watching it, and was drawn in quickly by the tale of the violent and charismatic Clooney and the even more violent but decidedly less uncharismatic Tarantino as they make an unholy mess and escaped to Mexico. The family led by Keitel gets caught up in the criminals plans and the tension is really well done. Unlike another reviewer here, I really did sympathise with the position of the family and was genuinely hooked on what was going to happen to them all.

Sadly, the film for me ended up degenerating into the usual melange of gaudy visuals, one-speed pacing and bludgeoning pop-video action. Such a waste. You can see the moment when the film jumps the shark exactly - when Chet Pussy (Cheech ... Read More:

Sin City is a stylish, violent, gripping movie - taken almost identically from Frank Miller's comic book you know what you are expecting and Sin City does not disappoint. Sexy beyond belief with Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson and Brittany Murphy all dripping with sex appeal seldom seen in films, scantily clad and plain and simply gorgeous - it works for Sin City. That's before we mention the girls of Old Town.
Graphic, stylised violence of first class order - especially in Marv's story which is probably my favourite - always quick pacing, tough gritty and exciting with a story that'll keep you watching. Elijah Wood plays his role really well, much more convincing than as Frodo in LOTR.
If you like a slow paced, character driven movies without much ... Read More:

The Faculty is a really good sci-fi thriller that you can watch with your mates on a Friday evening. The film focuses on Herrington High, a school where the students and staff appear to have been taken over by an alien creature. Its up to the few remaining students, Zeke (Josh Harnett), Casey (Elijah Wood), Stokely (Clea DuVall), Delihla (Jordana Brewster), Mary-Beth (Laura Harris) and Stan (Shawn Hatosy) to figure out whats going on, how they can stop it and how they can save their friends. A really great film at an excellent price tag. Buy it now.

I didn't even know there were two sequels to this, that probably means they're awful. I liked From Dusk 'til Dawn very much, but didn't take it to seriously. In fact it's the only Tarantino movie I like. I think he's too over-rated as a director and writer. He gives me the impression he'd stamp his feet and throw a tantrum if a Hollywood studio said "no" to one of his films. He needs to chill and grow up a little.

FDTD has all you'd expect in a Tarantino flick: guns, blood, a few gratuitous deaths, more blood, a bit of horror, and oh yes, a multitude of swear words. Tarantino, one-dimensional? Never! Oh I almost forgot women, more specifically scantily clad women. And for me, this movie has one highlight: the dance Salma Hayek ... Read More:

This movie is full of action, adventure and creative characters without being violent and scary. My two boys loved it. It was loads of fun for my husband and I as well as there is plenty of comedy that transends generations. We have seen Spy Kids 2 as well but can't reccomend it as it contains more violence and the characters were pretty scary.

Having just watched this film for the first time, I think a good way to describe it is to compare it to a gig. To start off there are two pretty irrelevant stories by two unknown directors which both leave you thinking 'what's this all about?', kind of like the support act. But they do set the scene for the second half of the movie, showing that Roth as the bellhop is having a real bizarre night. Then the headliners come in, Rodriguez and Tarantino, both producing hugely entertaining and enjoyable short stories which make you really pleased you watched the film. The performances by Roth, Tarantino and Jennifer Beals also help the job... definitely worth watching!!

This film is great - its funny and everything. I think that it doesnt match up to the first one but the acting is excellent, the setting is really cool, and of course the gadgets are too. If you are debating on buying this then go for it, but expect a little bit of bad acting - especially with the little girl - Gerty. There are huge monsters and Carmen is begginning to grow up and have crushes, its all very good. This film is excellent, but not quite as excellent as the first.

Robert rodriguez directed a visually stunning film with desperado,it didnt really have a storyline worth discussing in great detail but kept the interest going with cartoon like violence that was impossible to ignore, this is indeed one violent movie and is all the better for it,almost like robocop but set in mexico.
Antonio banderas plays a man set on revenge and wont stop until he knows he has wiped out all who wronged him, simple indeed, salma hayek plays the love interest who gets involved in something she doesnt really understand, steve buscemi is great as a confident of banderas' and quentin tarantino is great as a reciever of goods who tells a classic joke to a room full of bad breeds.
The film is simle but great,it looks great, blood flows and is very stylish and quotable on ... Read More:
